𝟏𝟗: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

"Please can you wake them up, she scares me." Lee begged George, standing next to Fred's bed.

"For fuck's sake, Lee. Fine." George shooed him away. He took a deep breath, before screaming at the top of his lungs.

Eden shot up into a seated position as Fred screamed in reaction to George. Eden burst out laughing at his girly scream, covering her mouth and flopping back down onto the bed.

"I am going to kill you, George." He spoke, trying not to laugh at himself.

"Come on, lovebirds. Head of Houses have some sort of announcement they need to make." George spoke while walking into the bathroom to get changed.

Eden stood up and grabbed a pair of Fred's pyjama pants, putting them on. She grabbed her outfit from yesterday and said goodbye to the boys, heading back to her dorm to quickly get dressed.

After a few minutes of walking and a couple of odd stares from other students, she made it to the Slytherin common room and walked down to her room. After changing into some wide-legged jeans and a baggy T-shirt, she headed to find Draco.

She walked up the stairs leading to the Slytherin common room, finding Draco seated reading a book on an armchair facing out of the window.

"Hey Draco, what is this whole announcement thing?" She queried.

"I'm not too sure, we just need to be at Snape's classroom in about 10 minutes." He shrugged, putting his book down and standing up, the two setting off to the Potions classroom.

"How did it go last night?" Draco smiled.

"Yeah, it went really good. I'll tell you more when we get back." She giggled, still feeling on top of the moon. They entered the classroom and took a seat next to each other.

"I see we have all made it on time, so I shall get started." Snape spoke from the front of the classroom. "There will be a ball taking place on February 14th, next week. It will be similar to the Yule Ball that was held last year, so same rules apply."

"Can you show us how to dance again? I forgot." Draco asked, hoping to see Professor Snape waltz around the room again like he did last year.

"Absolutely not, Malfoy. You are all free to leave." Snape spoke in his monotone voice.

The class was dismissed and the students filed out of the classroom, many 4th years ecstatic that they could attend a ball at Hogwarts, since last year they could only listen to stories about the Yule Ball.

As Eden stepped out of the room, she couldn't help but smile. She held her breath, hoping that Fred would ask her to the ball. They had only confessed their feelings yesterday, but Eden couldn't help but wonder if Fred was ready to take that step yet, to make it public. They had been getting to know each other slowly, and Eden was content with taking it one step at a time. She knew that Fred was a thoughtful and cautious individual, and she respected his need for personal space.

"This means I have to go dress shopping again." Eden sighed. 

"I'm sure you will find a nice dress, calm down." Draco laughed at her reaction.

"I'll see if Hermione and Ginny will go tomorrow." She felt relief knowing she had some girl friends that she could go dress shopping with, as last time she had to go with Draco who wasn't much help.

I wanted to reach out to you and ask if you and Ginny would be interested in going dress shopping tomorrow in Hogsmeade. It would make for a fun day out for all of us, and we could make it a girls' day.
