It's the 2700s and the world is run by vampires. I tried to make it a standalone; however, most of the characters are introduced in previous books in the series. I do include a character list.

Annie was buzzing like an excited bee in her morning class! After lunch, she was going to go to see all her new friends again and even Mr Felipe! He was really nice too. And maybe Molly and Zadie would be there too today!
Annie hurriedly ate her lunch of peanut butter and honey sandwiches cut into fourths with sliced banana on the side. It was really yummy but she had nooo time to savour it or go outside for lunch today! She skipped off to the lobby to wait for Mr Felipe.
Unfortunately, her watch was being dumb! She still had 42 minutes to wait! But she was done eating, so therefore lunch was over!! She sat down on a chair and held her stuffies in her hands and her pacifier in her mouth.
Felipe came into the lobby 15 minutes early thinking Annie wouldn't be here yet. But he found her curled up and asleep on a chair.
She even sleeps like a baby bee.
She was sleeping on her tummy all curled up so her little bee-hind and stinger were propped up into the air. He went over and rubbed her back.
