Outer Code: Another Day, Another Story

Start from the beginning

The alarm had said that the Central Command Room had to be evacuated, so like the sensible and rational lunatic he was, he was headed straight to that place.

He was pretty sure only a moron or another crazy person would stay and watch the cameras, so he thundered through Chaldea at record speeds toward the likely source of the trigger event. He slowed down once he saw a familiar figure running ahead of him and decided to greet him.

(Y/N): Yo, Doc! I knew that I struck a chord in you, but I'm flattered that you caused this much of an uproar!

Romani: What the-?! Why are you here?! You're supposed to take shelter in the opposite direction!

(Y/N): Yeah, I was supposed to! To that, I say: Fuck the police!

Romani: This is no time for joking around! You have to leave, now!

(Y/N): Well, Doc, I'm quite comfortable in the situation I'm in, so we can go in and figure it out together, or you can run the ones right here, right now!

Seeing as the beautiful young man would not listen, the situation forced Romani to take priority in the emergency and kept rushing forward, with (Y/N) keeping up with a smile so casual that you would think he was at a relaxing beach resort.

Just a few corners after the two men stumbled to the front doors of the control room, which now looked pathetic. Twisted pieces of metal were stuck in the wall, barring anyone entry from the inside and out.

Romani: By the Lord, this stupid door's stuck!

(Y/N): DOOR STUCK! DOOR STUCK! OUT OF MY WAY, SON!

And so, the first thing to meet the business end of (Y/N)'s fist was not the evil mastermind behind the apocalypse, but a metal door. Frankly, he found doors to be deceptively evil, so he did a good service in his opinion.

Romani stared at him as he brushed his hands as if he hadn't just punched a few tons of steel clean open without hurting his hand

Romani: Huh, you're unexpectedly strong...

(Y/N): Oh, so I was just a frail, beautiful doll in your eyes until now, huh? Way to be progressive, bro.

Romani: I-I didn't mean it like- Wait, we do not have time for this, we're in the middle of a crisis!

Stepping inside, Roman almost immediately rushed to inspect it, but it was impossible to make out anything between the twisted pieces of metal so after just a few seconds Roman was forced to give up the useless exercise. However, the very core of Chaldea stood in place just as before, completely untouched by the explosion.

Romani: Mother of... the bomb exploded here!

(Y/N): Don't worry, we can fix it!

Romani: How?!

(Y/N): Have you tried turning it on and off again?!

Romani: I swear to God, you... Gah, power supply! I need to manually change the power source! I'm fully serious here, you have to run away while you still have time!

With these words, Roman rushed off before (Y/N)'s response could reach him. He was right to do so, since (Y/N) had more or less relegated the good doctor as background noise to prioritize whatever was happening here that could be fun to do.

(Y/N): Hmm, I wonder if any of the Servants here could tank a nuke. I mean, Doc clearly can't, but who knows?

Shinketsu: It's doing something alright, but it's not going to explode for now.

Just before he could voice his disappointment, his attention was caught by another warning coming from the system.
