LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Chapter 8

Shen Wei looks at Mr. Zhao who is looking at her with an interest. She feels a bit tremble to face with this scary face of Zhao Yunlan's dad. She never feels scare to face anyone in her life but with this old man, she feels a bit scare especially when this old man keeps staring on her face. Yezhun just silents at her side while also trembling to see this old man. Zhao Yunlan sighs to see his dad still not avert the eyes from Shen Wei's face since they came here.

"Dad, can you not scare her and her son now? I am afraid they will leave this house before you can talk to us," Zhao Yunlan whined with a warn to his dad since he knows how is his dad's behaviour over the people around them.

Mr. Zhao startled and then he composed himself to face Shen Wei and that little boy comfortably. He smiles a little to Shen Wei and he calls his maid to come. The maid hurriedly comes to Mr. Zhao for the order from her master made Zhao Yunlan also curious for that sudden call.

"Yezhun, can you follow this nanny to the kitchen and have a strawberry ice cream? Yeye needs to have a talk with your mama," Mr. Zhao softly requested to Yezhun.

Yezhun looks at his mama to get the permission for that request from this old man who called as yeye to him. Shen Wei nods permitted and Yezhun happily smiles to have an ice cream again. Yezhun follows the maid and a moment later, they can hear the excitement voice from Yezhun to see a lot of ice cream in the fridge. Zhao Yunlan arches his eyebrows towards his dad and his dad laughs a little.

"I heard from Da Qing that Yezhun likes an ice cream. So, I bought a lot of flavours for him except the nuts. I heard about his allergy just like you from Da Qing too. I know you and him never have a secret," Mr. Zhao told the truth.

"Oh, really? You already investigated about me and them, right?" Zhao Yunlan guessed and Mr. Zhao nods admitted.

"Well, let's talk about her, Yunlan. Shen Wei, please don't scare of me. I know my face is a bit scary but my heart is not. I am a kind person just like my son," Mr. Zhao said and he chuckled a little to say that.

Zhao Yunlan sighs in relief to see his dad is not mad to see Shen Wei now like he thought when he told to his dad that he loves this beautiful lady instead of Zhu and he even asked his dad to cancel the marriage arrangement between him and Zhu immediately.

"Xiao Wei, my dad is really a kind person. Just sometimes he looks scary to be faced and also a bit strict like he asked me to marry Zhu. But he is a considerate man too when he listened to my opinion too to not marry to Zhu," Zhao Yunlan assured and Shen Wei can feel relieved to face with Mr. Zhao now but her heart curious over the name of Zhu like she heard that surname before but she didn't know where she heard it or maybe saw it and maybe the surname just same but not the name.

Shen Wei didn't smile but just nods made Mr. Zhao worried if Shen Wei still scared of him and Zhao Yunlan noticed that awkwardness situation between his dad and Shen Wei.

"Dad, you know... She never smile to the others. Before I met her, she only smiled to her own son... I mean to his nephew, to Yezhun, not the others. But after we met, I am the second person that she smiled too. Maybe I am really special in her heart. I hope after this she can smile to all people around her too," Zhao Yunlan said and those last words made Shen Wei blushed beautifully.

Mr. Zhao nods understand.

"Alright, Shen Wei. Now I know your condition for that smile. Well, back to our private talk... Firstly, I am grateful that you came here tonight which now I can meet with the heir of Shen, the 3rd generations of Shen. I was frustrated to know that your gege was died together with his wife in that tragic accident. I heard from Da Qing all of this information since you know Yunlan never hide anything from his childhood friend, Da Qing and his best friend, Lin Jing. Both guys are the brothers to Yunlan," Mr. Zhao said and Shen Wei just nods as she heard about those two important guys in Zhao Yunlan's life.
