A/n: this is a long one.Almost done with season one, might do some one shots(from before the beginning)before continuing with season two.

"Your husband is holding his first war council, and he didn't even invite us."
"Why should he?"
"We know more about fighting than he does."
"Maybe, but he has men with his experience with war on his council. We know to fight but not how to wage war."
"But do you know that?"

she smiled
"Yes, I do. We could win him this war, but you are a foreigner and I am a woman. This is Westeros, not Dorne or Essos."
Aeron frowned.
"It's fine. We have other things to concentrate on."
Aeron sat quietly on a chair beside Daenyra.
"And we get to see the Lannisters suffer without doing anything—well, if Robb can defeat them."
"Didn't you like the lannisters?"
"No, I hate them."
"even Jaime?"
"especially Jaime."

Aeron looked confused, shook his head, and mouthed, "What?".
Daenyra just smiled but then grew quiet.

"Are you well?" he asked, concerned.
"I am better, but I don't wish to speak about this just yet. Though I wish to return to her, I don't want her to be alone. We should be there, Vissera and I."

"Lady stark," someone interrupted them.
Lady stark. Should Eddard die that would all she'd be. Lady Stark.

"I am not Lady Stark yet."
"I apologize. Lady Stark has arrived."
"Thank you; we will be right there."

Daenyra made her way to the tent. It was very confusing.
She thought they had lost their way until she saw Lord Jon Umber.

"My lord," she addressed
"my lady. Lady Catelyn wanted to speak to her son alone," he informed her.
"Thank you, my lord."

They continued to converse.
He had told her about the accident in the Great Hall of Winterfell, and the only thing she could do was laugh.
Even Aeron smiled a little.
"I am so sorry, Lord Umber."
"It is alright, my lady. I had the same reaction," he said as he laughed with him.

They stood there for some time more. Somehow, Aeron was talking to Lord Umber.
He never talked to anyone but her.
It was a welcome surprise.

Then she saw Robb gesture for her to come.

"Lady Stark."
"Amber." Catelyn stark said fondly.
Daenyra looked at her closely.
She sighed and gave Catelyn a small smile.
a soon-to-be widow, I wonder if she admitted it to herself.

"I showed my mother the letter," Robb informed her.
"It reeks of the small council and the queen." Aeron who had followed her, as her own personal shadow said.
Amber looked around, confused, and saw two equally confused people.
"Yes. That puts it into words," she said finally.

"Are we going to war? Aaron asked bluntly.
"Yes," Robb answered.
He turned to Amber.
She knew what he was going to ask, so she answered before he could ask,"I will call my banners. You can expect half of the reach. My uncle has sided with Renly Baratheon."
"And should you need more men, I could ask my uncle Prince Doran; he will send them, but otherwise he will stay out of this conflict if he is smart." she continued.
"And he is smart."

"Thank you," Robb said.
"We will have another council meeting today, and I would like for you to join," he said, looking at her.
"All of you."
"Huh," was Aeron's reaction.
"We will be there," she said.

Daenyra was sitting on the bed in her tent.
Robb and hers.

Aeron was making friends, which was surprising to her, but she liked seeing him more open.
Ser Knight was lying his head on her lap.
She looked at him and wished to be a cat.
They don't have to worry about wars.

Robb entered the tent.
"The meeting is in two hours."
She nodded and smiled.
