18. A needed heart to heart.

the smile on Agastya's previously confident face fell a little to convert itself into a sad smile. 

"okay."....however, he wouldn't let Aksh know. 

Aksh, who was determined to get a desperate reaction out of Agastya by the news creased his brows in disappointment. oh! what he would give just to see some humane emotions on the man's face. 

Nevertheless, he wasn't going to see it anytime soon. Guess he would have to wait. 

Ruh looked back at the huge palace behind her, magnificently shining with all the glory it had. The flag at the very top of the main building wavering with pride which could never be disdained and if someone ever tried, it would ensure their dreary end.

She looked all over, her eyes not leaving the shine, the glory. She was unaware of what she was looking for. Much rather, not ready to accept what she was looking for, because then she would break every single of her oaths to herself and every single of her principles.

"It was nice meeting you. So nice that now i don't want you to go now. You make everything so cheerful and funny. I have always regarded you as my very own sister. So promise me, you won't forget your brother." .........aksh finished his emotional monologue, earning warm tears from ruh.
She couldn't help it and ran to hug him tightly. Aksh hugged her back, shedding light tears with a sad smile on his face.

" what are you even saying. I would remember you till my end. You were the one who made me feel like maybe i would do good here after all. You were the reason i thought it wouldn't be so hard after all to settle in this new environment. You were the only one who made me feel home here. Kill me if i ever forget you!" .....ruh finished, hiccuping uncontrollably.

"Anuj is crying and he didn't even want to see you off. Gosh! Just how many people you're saddening with your farewell. Just like a queen! And I'm glad to be the queen's brother." ......he said as he wiped off his tears gently with his index finger.

More tears followed their way down the female's cheek, unable to be controlled by her.

"Are you kidding me? God! I will miss you so much. Anuj too actually. If you were my big brother then he was my little brother.".......she said with a chuckle finally leaving the hug.

As she left the hug, she took another look at the palace, looking for a certain someone but didn't catch even a shadow.

Aksh cleared his throat, making her realise what she was making so obvious.
Aksh chuckled smirkingly.

" looking for someone?" ....he asked, eyes glistening with mischief.

" Uhm? ...um..no .....actually, yes. Anuj. In case he's somewhere there looking at me leaving ?" ........she soon summed up, lying so effortlessly at this point.

" well anuj isn't that creepy, atleast not with you. Though, someone else is." ......aksh said, voicing the last part at an inaudible range.

Ruh ignored whatever it was and school her head.

" bye !" ....she said finally, getting into the carriage.

"Thanks for taking care of my daughter, I'm forever thankful to you and this palace for welcoming her. ".......ruh's mother, coming from the back of the carriage after storing their luggages finally said.
Aksh nodded with a smile.

" she's like my sister aunty, and that makes you my mother. Mother's don't thank their sons for taking care of their daughter's, do they ?" ....he said, touching the woman's heart so effortlessly.

Ruh's mother smiled and bid her farewell too, taking with her the most treasured aspect of the soon-to-be king of the place. Unaware nonetheless.

Ruh looked out of the carriage once more.

"don't worry, we're bound to meet sooner than you expect." .....aksh said only for ruh to hear.

"What-?" ......her confused voice faded as the carriage went away leaving aksh smiling.

" well, someone's happiness will know no bounds if i tell them she was searching for someone." .......he said to himself before turning back and re-entering into the palace he was forever bound to.

okay guys! I know this was a short (very short) chapter but I'm helpless as I have my exams this month. 

just wanted to inform you guys that there would be no updates till the mid-December after this due to the aforementioned ExAmS :(

but pleaseeeee wait for me and don't leave. :)
