Intruders started to come into the house, so Rose ran into the bathroom. "Lock the door. Get in the closet, hide there." As soon she did, Jasper called authorities. Jasper was extremely worried this poor girl would not be safe, if what she was telling him was true and her aunt and uncle were agents, she could be in big, big trouble. He could do nothing but wait for the police to arrive. The door opened after 10 minutes and she came face to face with a cop. She took a deep breath and left safely, the man's job was finished.
