Karan’s pov
It’s been a week to Tejasswi’s incident.. I’ve gotten even more protective of her.. i shifted all of mine and Tejasswi’/ stuff to the penthouse.. rishabh and sanket have shifted to my apartment.. it’s actually good being here in the penthouse.. i am near to office.. can manage work and whenever i wanna make out with Tejasswi.. i can come here easily *smirk* Tejasswi and i have gotten closer than ever before
Okay but right now we are in my previous apartment.. getting ready for the engagement.. i was wearing just a black shirt.. sleeves rolled up.. top buttons open.. and a jeans.. i still haven’t seen Tejasswi.. she’ll arrive soon with unnati.. they could’ve gotten ready here but unnati didn’t wanted me to see her till engagement..
Tejasswi’s pov
“Tejasswi.. tu sach mein karan se bhut pyaar krti hai na..” unnati said to me as she looked at me adoringly..
“Bhut..” i replied and she kissed my head..
“Chalo.. phir unki hone wali biwi ko thoda aur saja dete hain..” she said and made me wear all the accessories.. at last.. she put kaala tika behind my ear and there was a sudden knock.. unnati opened the door and it was manav and rishabh..
“Tejasswi.. you look gorgeous..” manav said and kissed my head
“Really Tejasswi.. karan.. will be dead..” rishabh said and we all chuckled..
“accha come on.. let’s go..” he said and i nodded
We all left for the apartment.. we entered and i gasped when i saw all the decorations.. maa came running to me and hugged me.. papa patted my head and sanket also hugged me and kissed my head
“You look fantastic.. bhai is gonna be so dead..” he whispered and i chuckled
“Karan.. aaja beta..” maa called out and i got busy in talking with them..
Karan’s pov
I walked down the stairs and stopped midway when i saw Tejasswi.. damn it.. she looks so beautiful in her purple lehenga.. i came down slowly and they all made us sit on the couch.. everyone was still busy in their bickering and other works while we were just sitting there..
Tejasswi’s pov
“Tejasswi.. i have a surprise for you..” unnati said and i smiled
“Kya..” i asked and she went towards the door.. she opened it and my smile widened.. it was arsh bhai.. I quickly ran to him and hugged him.. he hugged me back tightly.. he is my favourite cousin and only one who loves me.. he was in london for past 6 years now.. i parted the hug and my smile vanished immediately.. i stumbled back when karan held my hand and stabled me..
“Aap yahan kya kr rhi hain ?” I asked to the woman standing behind arsh bhai.. he got out of the way and i came face to face with her.. with my mom..
“bhai aap laye ho inhe yahan ?” I asked arsh bhai and he shook his head
“She somehow got to know about it.. mujhe neeche hi mili..” he said and i nodded
“Tejasswi.. i m very sorry beta..” mom said and i shook my head
“Don’t.. just don’t.. pls jaiye yahan se.. main ni chahti ki aapki vajah se mera special day kharab ho..” i said and she frowned
“Tu apni maa se baat kr rhi hai Tejasswi..” she said chuckled.. i left karan’s hand and walked towards her.. and she stepped backward
“Maa.. kb thi aap ? Yeh maa.. tb khn thi jb aapke so called husband aapki beti ko maar rhe hote the?” I asked and she looked away
Karan’s pov
I clenched my fist and jaw at the mention of her past..
“Aap tb khn thi jb aap mujhe marne ke liye us insaan ke ps chd ke chli gyi thi.. and itna hi nhi.. kuch din pehle bhi jb voh mujhe jaan se maarne aaye the.. tb khn thi..” Tejasswi said sternly and her mom looked at me
“Kya sikhaya hai tumne meri beti ko..” she shouted and i scoffed
“Unhe kuch kehne ki himmat bhi mt krna..” Tejasswi said firmly
“Tujhe bs uske paison mein interest hai.. jaanti hun main..” she said to her and i was about to intervene but mom stopped me
“Jaise aapko mr Aggarwal ke paison mein tha.. unke paise le ke bhaag gyi thi.. mere dad se kbhi aapne pyaar kiya nhi.. mr Aggarwal se pyaar ka natak.. aur pta nhi ab tk kis kiski zindagi barbaad kr chuki hongi aap.. yahi toh aata hai aapko..” Tejasswi said angrily and that idiot woman was about to slap her but Tejasswi held her hand
“Don’t you dare..” she said and left her hand with a jerk.
