Tejasswi's pov

As soon as karan left.. I slumped myself on the couch.. my phone rung showing the caller id as unnati.. that brought a smile on my face.. i picked it up

"Tejasswiiiiii....." she shouted and i kept the phone away from my ear

"Stop shouting unnsuu.." i said and she shouted even more

"Meri shaadi ho rhi haiiii..." she squealed in happiness and couldn't help but smile my best.. I haven't met her fiancé yet.. and neither i was able to attend her engagement as i was on a business trip in place of karan sir as he had some work..

"aur is baar main koi bahana nahi sunne wali.. tujhe aana hai matlab aana haiii.." she said and i sighed

"I'll try my best unnati.. you know main is baar wali job mein koi risk nhi le rhi.." i said

"Chutti lene ko thodi na keh rhi hun.. shaam ka function hai 6 ko sangeet ka.. 7 ko bachelorette aur 8 ko vaise hi Sunday hai.." she said and i nodded

"Main poori jaan laga dungi teri shaadi mein aane ke liye okay ?" I said and she squealed in happiness again..

Next morning

I got ready quickly and reached the office..thankfully on time.. I prepared the coffee and kept it in karan sir's cabin.. and the files he needed to sign.. i went through the other files when he entered his cabin.. after about 15 minutes.. i went towards the cabin i knocked the door..

"Come in.." his husky voice will be the death of me someday.. i entered the cabin and saw him busy with the files

"Mr Kundrra.. three meetings are scheduled for today.. ond at 10:30.. the other at 1 and last one at 3:30.." i said and he nodded..

I went back to my cabin and started working on some files.. when it was 10:15.. i walked back to his cabin and called him for the meeting.. we went to the conference room and attended the meeting.. the whole day was spent like this and it was already 9pm.. yeah.. i had to do the overtime today.. it was such a hectic day.. I didn't even have my lunch..

This whole one month was literally spent in a jiffy.. it became so hectic coping up with work and unnati's wedding shopping.. plus.. ma'am has ordered me to perform many dance performances on her sangeet and bachelorette.. I don't know how am i going to manage everything.. it is already 5th November today.. i need to inform mr Kundrra first.. it's already 4:30.. and i will be leaving soon.. i went towards his cabin.. i knocked on it and after he allowed i went inside

"Mr Kundrra.." i said and he looked up

"will i have to do overtime tomorrow and day after tomorrow?" He shook his head

"okay.. thanks.." i went out and after sometime left for my home..

Next day..

I am so dead today.. !!! Fuck itt.. what was i thinking when i slept after coming back from ofc.. it's already 7:30 and i ' m leaving now for the function.. unnati is gonna eat me alive.. I quickly book the cab and left for the venue.. i enter the venue and collide with a man..

"Woah.." he grunted and i looked up at him

"I'm really sorry.." i said and rushed inside where i met unnati's mom

"namaste aunty.." i said and hugged her

"unnati kahan hai.." i asked

"Voh stage ke saamne couch pe baithi hai.." she said and i rushed there..

"Finally aa gyi tu.." unnati said and hugged me..

"manav.. meet Tejasswi.. my bestieee.. and Tejasswi.. meet manav my fiancé"

"Hi jiju.." i said and suddenly i was shocked seeing karan and rishabh there..

"Hello saali sahiba.." karan and rishabh came towards us and stood near manav.. thank god they didn't notice me as they were busy talking with each other

"Karan rishabh.. meet Tejasswi.. my best friend..Tejasswi meet manav's brother karan and best friend rishabh" their heads snapped up towards me..

"ek min.. sanket.." she called someone and the guy i bumped into came there

"Ooh.. hi miss beautiful.. glad to meet u again.." he said and i was standing there all shocked and confused.. jijz smacked Sanket's head

"Stop flirting with her.." he said

"Tejasswi yeh sanket.. manav ka chota bhai.." she introduced and i smiled

"Hii.." i said and rishabh hugged me

"Oh come on Tejasswi.. drop the formality.. we are friends already" he said and i nodded
