Sophie's POV
After talking on the phone with Leah I went home, took a shower, and just went to bed. I was tired from all the crying, I had a huge headache, but I was familiar with the feeling, so it was nothing I couldn't handle. Getting into bed I text Leah that I was home and then turned out the lights and immediately fell asleep.
The Next Morning
I woke up to multiple messages wishing me happy birthday; including Drew, Sarah, Alex, Leah, Mom, Dad, a couple of aunts and Uncles, a few family friends, even a few from the USWNT, as well as some friends, and my first lieutenant. I got out of bed late, much later than I am used to, and it was not a good thing, I needed to get going and be at the stadium early, luckily I was able to wear my civilian clothing. I was making my way to make breakfast, although before I made it to the kitchen, the doorbell rang, I went to the buzzer and was surprised when I saw a delivery man with what I assumed was food, most likely breakfast. It turs out it was, and it was sent by my parents. As I was eating my breakfast my phone started ringing, it was a group call from Alex, Sarah, Drew, and my parents.
*Incoming Group Call From Alex M. Sarah, Drew, and Mom*
Sophie: Family, good morning what can I-
Everyone: Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Sophie, happy birthday to you!!! Wooooo!
Mom: Happy birthday babygirl!
Dad: Happy birthday Sophie baby!
Sophie: Thank you!
Alex: Happy birthday Sophie!
Sophie: Thanks Al
Drew: Happy birthday sis
Sarah: Happy birthday Sophie!
Sophie: Thank you Sarah
Alex: Now that all the pleasantry is out of the way-
Sophie: Where's Nathan?
Mom: He left early, said something about meeting a friend
Sophie: Oh okay
Alex: Now back to what I was saying before I was rudely interrupted
Sophie: Sorry Al, go on
Alex: Everyone needs to be at the stadium by 1, Soph, Nathan said he wasn't going to the game so he volunteered to go be at the house, while it's being set up
Sophie: Oh alright, do I need to bring my clothes then?
Alex: Yes, after the game, you're coming with me to the hotel to get ready and we'll leave from there
Sophie: Okay
Alex: Everyone here is still going to the game yes?
Sophie: Yes obviously
Drew & Sarah: yup
Mom and Dad: Yes
