Beach Day

Sophie's POV

I knew the girls wouldn't be getting up early to find a good spot at the beach, so last night I decided that I was going to take it upon myself and wake up and do so. I needed the distraction from the lingering feelings I still had from yesterday. Waking up before the sunrise was normal for me, it was almost odd for me if I didn't. As soon as I got up I went on a run, seeing as my home gym was not equip yet, I had to rely on other sources, which again was normal for me. Thankfully, the military taught me how to be resourceful, I just wished they offered the same when it came to my mental health, I knew they do what they can but it's not enough. Getting back home after my hour run, I showered, got into my bikini with jean shorts and a oversized shirt on top with some sandals although of course I brought an extra pair , and then made my way to the beach.

Arriving at the beach, I walked towards the water, trying to find the perfect spot close enough to everything. Once I found the perfect spot, I made my way back to the car to pull everything out from beach toys, a canopy, speaker, chairs, BBQ and a cooler with some drinks. Once things were set up, I sent Alex my location.

Me: Location sent

Me: Relatively set up and ready whenever you guys are

Alex M: Leaving in 5 :)

Alex M: Bringing breakfast

Alex M: We need to go to the market later, to grab the burger necessities

Me: I thought so

Me: I brought the beach toys, speaker, chairs, BBQ, and cooler with drinks

Alex M: I honestly am not shocked in the slightest that you're so prepared

Me: I would be shocked if you were

After about twenty minutes from my last message, I saw the girls walking towards me. Soon after everyone was settling down, and Alex pulled me away for a walk to the water, handing me a breakfast sandwich to eat.

I tried my best, I figured you guys would bring a ball so I brought everything other than that and food

We did, we can go once you finish breakfast, we stopped to get breakfast bagels, I brought you one
