He sold his soul for me. Why did he go and do that? It was obviously my time to go. Dean went behind (Y/N)'s back while she was grieving me back at Bobby's and sold his soul. Was he even thinking how much pain that would put us through when he gets drug all to hell by those fucking hounds? Probably not.

"Dammit Dean." I said pulling at my hair turning my back to him. "Why did you do it?"

"I couldn't just let you die, Sammy!"

"Yes, you could have! You could have taken (Y/N), found Azazel and ended it all!" I yelled turning back around to face him. "You and (Y/N) could have finally got out, had a normal life. The life you deserve."

Tears were now flowing down my face. They deserved to get out like I had before more than anyone I know, especially (Y/N). the girl had suffered enough damage to sustain a lifetime because of Azazel. She more than deserved watching his ending and finding some normality, so did Dean.

"We couldn't have done it without you." He said now looking at his feet. "We wouldn't have done it without you."

I looked through the back window of the impala for a moment, watching as my girlfriend's chest rose and fell at a steady pace as she slept soundly in the back seat. "Have you told her?" I questioned and waited for a moment for him to reply but he didn't. So, I asked again this time through gritted teeth. "Dean, have you told..."

"No Sam!" he interrupted in a yell. "No." he repeated shaking his head. "How in the living hell am I supposed to tell the girl I love more than anything in this world the I sold my soul for my little brother because not only could I no longer see her in so much pain but because I'm also a selfish bastard who can't live without his baby brother? How do you suppose I tell our already emotionally fragile girlfriend that she will have to live without me sooner rather than later like we had planned?" Dean sighed tears now streaming down his face as well as he ran his fingers through his hair frustratedly. "I can't do that to her. We promised her a life after this all ended Sammy. I'm breaking that promise and I hate myself for it. But I couldn't let you die like that. You didn't deserve to go that way."

I watched as the small girl adjust you position on the seat in her sleep, the looked back over at him. "How long do you get?"

Dean looked anywhere that wasn't my face at this point as the gears turned in his head. "A year." He stated.

I let out a shaky breath that I had been holding and shook my head.

They couldn't even give him the normal amount of ten years, could they? Fucking demons. I couldn't stop myself from thinking how stupid he was for making that move.

I let out a sarcastic laugh and said, "She's going to kill you before the hounds ever get the chance to get your sorry ass when she finds out. You know that, right?"

Dean raised his eyebrows and nodded as he let out a similar breathy laugh. "Oh, I'm betting on that one to be quite honest with you."
