I watched as (Y/N) tossed and turned as she slept on the couch. She had fallen to sleep on the way back to the apartment, her head in Jared's lap as he mindlessly ran his fingers through her hair. Neither of us had the heart to wake her when we had arrived so, I carried her while Jared carried her bag. I placed her on the couch so we could keep an eye on her as she slept.

"Bad dreams coming back?" Jared asked as he returned from his room all changed into comfier clothes.

I just simply nodded. "Yeah and I think they're getting worse." I said, never letting my eyes leave her sleeping form.

"They always seem to get worse before they get better." He stated as he grabbed some things from the fridge to make dinner.

I let out an airy breath and turned in my chair to face his way. "I know but the worse they get the more I worry." I sighed and ran my hand over my face. "She's been through so much already and with the nightmares coming back and putting through her through more crap... I don't know how she's handling it all really."

Jared shook his head and sighed. "I don't either Jay. She might just be putting on a brave face and going on with her day or she could just be ignoring it all and letting it not bother her."

"Shouldn't it be bothering her? Shouldn't she need us to comfort her through it all?"

"She has, Jay." Jared said as he prepared dinner. "Even though she seems like she doesn't when she should, she still does. She doesn't leave our side very often and when she does it isn't for that long. She jumps at any and every bang that goes off near her, practically jumping into your arms most of the time. It's bothering her even if she doesn't let on."

I nodded after thinking about what he had just said. Maybe I had been too worried about how it seemed to be like everything wasn't affecting her the way I thought it would have to notice that that was exactly what it was doing even with her braving the world everyday like nothing was wrong.

"I think (Y/N) needs us more than we think she does, and we've been too busy, all of us, to see what it may be doing to her." He said as we both turned and look over her once more. She was visibly shaking now and looked a little paler than usual.

I didn't reply. Instead I stood and walked over to the couch and crouched down in front of her. Petting her hair softly seemed to calm the shaking just enough and her breathing evened out. Her eyes started to open slowly, and a smile formed slightly on her face. "Hey, Jay." She whispered.

"Hey, sweetheart. You okay? You were shaking." I questioned.

She nodded and pulled at the blanket I had placed over her after laying her down. "I am now."

I cupped her cheek then leaned over and placed a kiss on top of her head. "Good."
