Love Knows No Sides was written by me in 2017. Originally it was written in Polish language so I had to translate all these 40 chapters into English and change the way the dialogues looked like. In Polish literature dialogues starts with dashes (-) in contrast to English writing which for dialogues uses inverted commas ("). For these reasons it took me a bit longer to change and rewrite all these 40 chapters so I hope you will understand my delay. And once more thank you for your patience <3
The whole idea of the story is connected with my fascination of World War 2 and the relationships that back then were forbidden, just like Pola's and Alex's relationship. Also, I wanted to portray the both sides of the WW2 conflict just as regular people, not just a civilian and a soldier. I aimed to show that Alex is not only a German soldier but also a young man capable of falling in love and taking care of his neighbours. Also Pola had to finally come to her senses and admit that she loves Alex despite his origins.
