I was crying all the time, embracing him, and he just pressed me against him, stroking my head and whispering soothing words. In the end, however, he spoke more specifically.

"Hey, don't cry, beautiful girl." He pushed me away from him and began to admire the picture of misery and despair that I presented with myself. "You're safe here. No one is going to hurt you." He assured me with his soft voice.

"I'm sorry ." I apologized in the end "I just ..."

"Shh." He silenced me "It's okay. I understand you, just as you understand me. " He gave me that smile that made my heart beat faster. All in all, he was right. By some strange coincidence, I understood him, and he understood me ...

I finished washing the window and washed myself at Grandma's and Mateusz's apartment. Of course, I said goodbye to Alex earlier, but this time he hugged me warmly and only then let me go. He asked me to visit him more often and that I was welcome here.

As it turned out, Grandma had already returned, and when asked where she was, she replied that she was visiting her old friend in the hospital. Mateusz and I both breathed a sigh of relief that she was fine.

Of course, the old lady ignored our fear for her and asked for lunch. Matusz gave me a warning look, so I came up with something quickly.

"You were gone a long time, so the boys ate your portion." I started mumbling.

"What boys?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Me and Alex ." Mateusz tittered. " We were terribly hungry." She looked at us suspiciously.

"Well there. It seems that someone here has finally liked our neighbor ." Grandma announced with a smile on her lips as she sat down at the table. " Would you mind making me a sandwich?" She asked and I rushed into the fridge.

After the sun went down, I went outside to check for any mail. During the day, I forgot about it and Grandma was waiting for a letter from Mateusz's parents. I put on my warm coat, once belonging to Mateusz's mother, and went downstairs. It was freezing outside, and an icy wind swept my whole body. It was even starting to roll thick snow. I huffed in my mind. I wanted spring already, and here it is the beginning of March and it is still snowing.

I took the envelope out of the mailbox and was about to go back inside, when suddenly a bright beam of light fell on me and the command "Stop" was spoken with a distinct German accent ...
