It had been 30 minutes since we had been stuck here. I sat down as I became tired eventually. Why was this happening to me? My mind was filled with all sorts of horrific things that could happen. The worst was dying here and no one would even know. Even worse was I would die with this rich brat.
We didn't talk to each other but our eyes were enough he stared at me like he would kill me any moment but I stared back like I wouldn't even wait a moment to murder him. He was literally a bad luck to me.
"Aur dekho sunset" He said kicking the lift doors because even the emergency buttons didn't seem to work. (Go see more sunset)
"You didn't let me how would I stalker?" I replied
"I was escaping from that Vaani now I couldn't leave without you." He sighed sitting down beside me.
"What does that have to do anything with me?" I looked at him with a stupid expression
"Don't shout but she is assuming something and I haven't corrected her as it seemed like the only way to get rid of her." He said carefully
"And what is that?" I had assumed the worse already but was waiting for him to say it
"She thinks we are together so she was spying on us all this time that's why I didn't leave your side." He ranted out
It took me a moment to realize what he said because I was always slow to show reactions like these. "What?" I asked calmly first then without a stop "WAIT WHAT?!!" I looked at him ready to murder him. "YOU DID WHAT? SHE THINKS WHAT?" I shouted this time finally as the realization set in.
"I just told her you're my sweetheart" he winked at me. He was probably trying to diffuse the tension between us but teasing me was not it. It might be a small thing for him but it wasn't for me. I hadn't even talked to a guy properly in my life and here he was spreading rumors.
"If staying stuck in this lift doesn't kill you then I will!" I told him
"Aww you're ready to go to jail for me sweetheart?" He was testing my patience at this point.
"Don't worry about me I have a best friend who can bail me out. You think about yourself which part of hell do you think you will land in?" I asked
"If I see you and die then definitely the worst part of hell sweetheart. But I will come back as a ghost just to annoy you" he said making his voice darker giving the impression
"Shut up!" I didn't want to show him but I was actually scared of ghosts. Yes yes there are no such things as ghosts but I can't help it everyone has that one thing they're scared of.
"Aww already scared?" He mocked me
"I have no wish to talk to you." I replied and closed my eyes.
I could feel something closing the distance between us as a husky voice spoke in my ears "Scared sweetheart?" He teased
