She didn't hold back, delivering her critiques with brutal honesty, regardless of the time or place.

According to Sir Hermoza, they made these adjustments to make things a bit easier for me, given our limited preparation time. It seems they're trying to alleviate some of the pressure, making it more manageable for me to step into this role at such short amount of time

This week was crucial, as everything had to be finalized, the designs, the music, and the choreography for the play. It was a time of unity, where everyone involved in the production came together to work towards our common goal

Nag-umpisang tumugtog ang iilang instrumento. Andrew and I began to move towards each other, mirroring the directions laid out in the script.

"My dearest Eurydice, your radiance eclipses even the brightest of suns" Sabi ni Andrew at habang hinahaplos ang pisngi ko

"Your melodies, Orpheus, they cast a spell on all who are fortunate to hear them" tulad ng ginawa niya ay hinaplos ko rin ang pisngi niya

"The merriment in your laughter, it kindles a warmth in my heart that rivals any hearth" naghiwalay kami saglit at tumingin sa mga mata ng isa't-isa

"It's as though the cosmos itself has found its voice through your song" sabi ko naman, at lumapit siya sa akin

"Oh, my Orph-"

"Again! Back to start!" utos ng professor namin, cutting me off mid-sentence. I let out a deep sigh, feeling the strain of the repeated takes.

If I'm not mistaken, this was our 27th take. Our professor still wasn't satisfied with our performance, or maybe it was just my performance that didn't meet her expectations. Her critiques were rentless, each one serving as a stark reminder of the high standards she had set for us.

"Miss Leofonzo, could you please add some emotion? Your acting is as flat as a boring play" she pointed out, her voice amplified by the microphone, resonating throughout the auditorium.

Her harsh words had been a constant throughout the session, but I understood her perspective. She was pushing for a performance that would do justice to the script, for a portrayal that would bring the characters to life.

"To everyone here, I don't want to see a subpar performance from anyone. Even though we only have three days left for preparation, anyone can still quit if I don't see a good performance" she stated authoritatively. It was clear she was striving for perfection, for a flawless execution that would leave a lasting impression.
