Someday

The phantom that haunts my soul,
Leaves me with a heart that feels so cold.

My spirit is weary, heavy with pain,
The weight of sadness, a relentless strain.

Oh, how I long for some solace to find,
To ease the ache that occupies my mind.

I seek a glimmer of light in this abyss,
A gentle touch, a comforting kiss.

But sadness wraps it's arms around me tight,
Dragging me deeper into the night.

Yet somewhere deep within the gloom,
There lies a flicker, a hope that blooms.

For sadness cannot hold me forever,
It's grip will loosen, I must endeavour.

And though my heart may break and weep,
Someday, this darkness I will defeat.
