DOLION WAS PLAYING WITH ANICA'S hair while she's still asleep. He smiled and caresses her cute asleep face. He stopped when she groaned. Anica slowly opened her eyes and she was welcomed by Dolion's smiling face.
“Good morning!” he greeted and place a smack kiss on her lips.
“Good morning!” she greeted back and groaned. She covered Dolion's face with her tiny hands but Dolion immediately held it away.
“What?” he asked.
“Labas ka muna. Nahihiya ako!” natatawang saad ni Anica at tinakpan ng unan ang mukha n'ya. Dolion smiled on her silliness.
“Okay! Okay!” Dolion said and chuckled.
“I'll wait for you. Sabay tayo magbreakfast, okay? Be fast.” bilin ni Dolion at hinalikan uli ang nuo ni Anica bago lumabas ng kwarto nito.
Anica comfortably groaned and sat down on her bed. She smiled remembering what happened last night but a half of her was quite embarrassed. She was acting very impulsive in their first night.
“Nica ang baliw-baliw mo! Bakit mo ginawa 'yon?” sigaw ni Anica sa sarili. Nagsimulang namula ang kanyang mukha nang maisip ulit ang mainit nilang pagtatalik kagabi. Anica shakes off that thought away and hop out her bed. She felt stiffness and painful in her thighs and so as in her center but it was bearable for her. She took a bath and dressed herself before going out.
“Good morning, Nic. Tagal ah?” bati ni Meghan sa kanya at nginitian n'ya ito.
“Good morning!” masayang bati naman ni Anica. She attempted to sit down beside Meghan but she suddenly felt that stiffness making her toes shake.
“Ahh!” she groaned and Meghan immediately helped her. Everyone looked at her, including Dolion.
“Ayos ka lang?” tanong ni Meghan.
“Y-Yeah! I just feel a little stiff in my legs.” Anica answered and awkwardly smile before sitting down.
“Sure kaba? Ano nangyari r'yan? Tanong naman ni Jairus at asiwa siyang napangiti.
“N-Nag squats kasi ako kahapon eh. Alam n'yo na, exercise pag may time. HAHAHA!” iyong ang tanging naisip ng palusot at alanganing tumawa.
“Sanay ka naman sa exercise ah.” sambit naman ni Meghan na lalong nagpaipit kay Anica. Anica looked at Dolion with that “help me” expression on her face but Dolion just smirked on her secretly.
“Eh k-kasi HAHA alam n'yo na, matagal-tagal na 'yong last ko na exercise eh parang nanibago katawan ko tapos di ako nagwarm up HAHA!” she awkwardly stated and they looked at her with confusion.
“May point.” the half convinced Meghan and Anica smiled with nods.
“Baby, try this pancake. I made this— Ahh aray!” mariing tiniris ni Anica ang tagiliran ni Dolion.
“Aray ha! Masakit!” angal ni Dolion at matiim lang s'yang tinitingnan ni Anica.
“Nagkaayos na kayo tapos kayo na rin 'no?” tanong ni Jairus na may pilyong ngiti.
“No!” Dolion answered making Anica bite her lower lip in disappointment. Yes, may nangyari sa kanila pero hindi ibig sabihin noon ay sila na. Walang sila.
Dolion suddenly puts his hand on her shoulder and kissed her forehead, “I am courting her again. I will court her once again with no secrets and lies.”
“Ahh! Aga-aga nang-iinggit kayo ha. Sige na kumain nalang tayo para maghananap narin ako ng mala-Dolion na boyfriend.” biro naman ni Meghan.
“Asa ka!” hirit naman ni Jairus habang kumakain at inirapan ni Meghan ito. Seeing how pissed Meghan was satisfied him. To piss her more, he playfully drinks his coffee.
“Problema mo, boy? Baka gusto mo ikaw maging boyfriend ko?” biro ni Meghan na dahilan upang mabigla ito at napaso ang dila sa iniinom na kape. Anica and Dolion laughed on their silly little love game.
“Ano? Nababaliw kana ba? Bakit mo nasabi 'yan? Hoy bata, 5 years gap natin at isa pa magkaibigian tayo, tigil-tigilan moko.” Jairus defensively hissed making everyone confused. He drunk some water before standing up and walking out.
“Luh!” di makapaniwalang sambit ni Meghan at masamang tinitignan ang bulto ni Jairus papalayo.
“Ano problema nang lalaking 'yon? 'Di mabiro ah.” Meghan said in a confuse tone. She looks at Anica asking for her to defend. She was pouting like a kid and that what Jairus said matters much for her.
“May problema ba sa 5 years gap? Eh pareho naman kaming legal ah.” Meghan hissed making Anica want to laugh on her adorableness.
“Bakit? Gusto mo talaga maging boyfriend si Jairus?” pilyong tanong naman ni Anica at agad nanlaki ang mata ni Meghan.
“Hindi ah! Bakit naman gugustuhin ko maging boyfriend s'ya? He's scaring me as always nga eh!” Meghan scoffed and crossed her arms, annoyed.
“Ano ba gusto mo sa lalaki?” tanong naman ni Dolion.
“Gusto ko 'yong maalahanin. Mabait. Sweet and caring. Matured than me, in terms of age and mindset. 'Yong mahilig sa pink.” Meghan answered.
“Inshort, si Jairus!” natatawang saad ni Anica at matiim s'yang tiningnan ni Meghan.
“Hindi kaya! 'Di naman s'ya mahilig sa pink eh. Isa pa, hindi 'yon mabait at maalahanin! Lagi lang akong pinapagalitan at inaaway non!” Angal ni Meghan at bumuntong hininga.
“His favourite t-shirt is color pink, remember? His alcohol is the colour pink casino alcohol, kahit magsuggest tayo ng iba, iyon parin binibili n'ya. His mouse is baby pink. And he colored his hair ash pink, once. Do you remember those?” Anica enumerated making Meghan looked at her with a defensive eyes.
“N-Nagkataon lang siguro.” angal pa nito.
“Mabait si Jairus at alam mo 'yan. Maalahanin din at laging inuuna ang iba. He's so selfless that he would rather get hurt than those people around him.” Anica softly spoke making Meghan sigh.
“Oo na! Oo na! Si Jairus gusto ko.” She confessed and the two wasn't even shocked with her confession.
“Pero...”
“Pero pilit kong pinipigilan 'tong nararamdaman ko sa kanya kasi patuloy n'ya akong tinutulak palayo.Ayaw ko mang gustohin s'ya pero ang pasaway ng puso ko. Kahit patuloy na tinutulak palayo, siya parin talaga eh. Noon hanggang ngayon, siya parin.” she whispered and took a deep breath. She looked at Anica and Dolion then, she gave them a sad smile.
“Tulad kanina. 'Diba kita n'yo? Sa tuwing nagbibiro nga lang ako ng ganoon, nagagalit na s'ya. His words are telling me that he doesn't like me and he will never love me.”
Anica pats her shoulder and face her an assuring smile. Anica looked at her intently and said, “You'll never know the truth if you don't ask and figure it out.”
“I don't know.” Meghan said. She has no plan to confess. If she do, she knows she'll just get rejected and by that she might lose a friend she treasures so much.
