Me and Lando head out of the banquet hall, all the paparazzi were still there, unfortunately. We run into his car, not responding to all the shouting from the crowd.

"Is this your new girlfriend, Lando?" Someone shouted as we went past.

We make it into the car, relieved to have escaped the masses of people.

"Let's go home!" Lando says, with a smile as he begins to drive.

"Home? Taking me to Monaco, are you?" I reply with a laugh.

"Man, I wish we could go back to Monaco." He responds as he focuses on the road. "So, how was the ball?"

I sigh, "Besides Carlos having a breakdown, it was good" I say with a laugh.

"I've never seen him act like that before, it must be bad" Lando responds with a sad face. "Anyways, so you did find a dress in the end?"

I smile at him, turning my head towards him, "Yep, managed to just appear in my closet."

"Woah, I wonder who got you it!" Lando says with a huge grin.

"It is gorgeous, Lando. Thank you" I reply with a smile as I look down at my dress.

"No worries. So, I've got to ask you something. When you said there's someone else, does that mean you have a boyfriend or?" He asks with a straight face, almost like he was nervous to even ask me something like that.

"No. He's not my boyfriend. I can't really explain what it is, to be honest" I respond, panicking on what to say.

"Where did you meet?" He asks, his eyes still on the road.

Shit. What do I say?

"Oh. Just at work. When I used to work at this golf course." I explain, which technically, I wasn't actually lying. It was true. I met Charles there, but I'm just missing out the big fact that it was, in fact Charles.

"Oh, I see." Lando says, intrigued, "You know, I remember you at the golf course. Charles took me and Alex there once."

I was stunned, I turn to look at him as he parks the car, "You remember me from the golf course? That one day?" I ask, with a shocked face.

"Ella, your face is very hard to forget" Lando replies as he turns the car engine off.

I couldn't help but blush at his comment. I was honestly too focused on Charles that day, I failed to really pay attention to Lando.

"I'm guessing Charles didn't remember you though?" Lando says, almost like he was trying to look better than Charles which was slightly immature. He has no idea about Charles either, maybe he just noticed Charles talking to me that day at that golf course. God, that felt like a lifetime ago.

"Don't think he did. Me and Charles don't really speak that much, so I'm not sure" I reply, knowing full well that Charles did remember me and we've been inseparable since.

Lando nods at my response, "Well, shall we go into the hotel? I'm so tired!" Lando asks, I nod in agreement and we both get out of the car.

Great, now I have to think of a way to get to my hotel room on the Ferrari floor without looking suspicious.

All of sudden my phone rings, it was Victoria. Saved by the bell. My best friend has the greatest timing in the world, I swear. Even when she's hundreds of miles away, she's still there for me.

Lando notices my phone ringing as we begin to walk to the elevator, "I'm going to go call Victoria in the bar, but I'll see you tomorrow?" I say to him with a smile as I put the phone to my ear.
