Crashing Down

Buried in pieces, like shattered glass,
With a meaningless beating,
Just likely not to be around tomorrow,
With no chance to say what's on one's mind,

To live with the choices you made,
There's no running from reality,
To try to hide, to try not to cut,
Trying not to break while crashing down.

The chance to erase the past,
The chance to continue to move forward,
To be stronger than what they know.

If they loved you, they would give you a chance to find a fix,
Maybe they could love you like they loved theirselves,
If only they didn't make a mistake,
For you to lose their trust while crashing down.

If I had died then and there,
Who would be your air?
Who would be your mirror?
Who would be in your arms when you awoke in the morning?

I Was it all just a silly game?
A game where one got too high off of love,
But came crashing down from the sky,
Just because of a fallen mistake.

Questioning if life can handle one anymore,
Confused as to why they're still here,
Unable to figure out why,
As the heartbreak continues to come crashing down.

Falling through the depths of the cold wind,
Craving the warmth from one another,
Falling like newly shattered glass,
Crashing down way too fast.

To continue a dance with strangers,
To continue to count passing cars
But crashing down like fallen stars,
Wishing to not have another glimpse of you.

There's no perfect melody for being at war,
Covered in battle scars from different glimpses,
Continuously crashing down,
As the sonata plays in another room,
Coming from you.
