Rafael scrutinized Alistair for a moment, checking his own notes, before redirecting his attention to Kira. "Is that how you remember it?"

Alistair observed the obvious glances exchanged between Stiles, Scott, and Lydia. Internally facepalming himself at their lack of subtlety, he witnessed Kira confirming everything he said, requesting the return of her phone, which unfortunately needed to remain as evidence because Barrow used it.

And, so, with no more questions, they let them go.

They arrived at the parking lot of Derek's loft, enveloped in a comfortable silence. Exchanging smiles, they simultaneously opened their respective door. As John approached the other side of the vehicle, he noticed Derek's gaze fixated on three kids standing before him. Dressed in Halloween costumes, the youngsters nervously uttered an animated, "Trick or treat," the poor lads were scared shitless. When John crossed his arms over his chest, giving Derek an unimpressed look, who had his gaze trained on the children. Derek reached inside the car, he retrieved a large bag of candies they had bought a few hours ago for this very occasion.

Each child extended their candy bags, eagerly awaiting Derek's offerings. Unyielding in his stare, Derek dropped the candies into their bags without breaking eye contact. John didn't need heightened senses to know the poor kids were close to fainting there.

Then, with the kids still looking at him in fear, Derek's eyes transformed into a chilling icy blue, his fangs bared, and he let out a growl that reverberated through the air. Filled with panic, the kids fled without so much as a glance back.

Amused by his successful scare, Derek wore a mischievous smirk on his face. John, however, couldn't help but roll his eyes, playfully striking Derek's chest. "You're such a meanie," he said in a reproaching tone.

Derek chuckled, reaching down to John's waist, and drawing him close for a kiss. As their eyes closed, John suddenly sensed a shift in the atmosphere, similar to the night before. Opening his eyes with a jolt, he turned his gaze, but it was too late. The last image imprinted on his mind was that of five shadowy figures, shrouded entirely in black, their faces concealed by Japanese-style masks, and their eyes. Two small dots within the mask's eyeholes emitted an intense glow of mixed hues of yellow and green, reminiscent of vibrant fireflies.

Isaac spent the whole day insisting on going to a mysterious Halloween party, but was just as adamant to not give Alistair any kind of information about it. Now, standing at the entrance of Derek's loft, the pulsating music reverberating through the walls, Alistair finally got why.

As the door swung open, Isaac's voice resonated with a sense of urgency, "Derek can never know about this." Alistair found amusement in the weightiness of his statement.

However, as his eyes fell upon the scene before him, Alistair was left astounded. People of all kinds and probably all ages, swayed and danced without a care, their bodies covered with vivid phosphorescent paint, making the whole scene a spectacle to the eye.

Unable to contain his infectious laughter, Alistair firmly grasped Isaac's arm and pulled him inside, eager to immerse themselves in the vibrant celebration.

"Where are you taking me?" Amidst the thunderous and thumping music and bodies in motion, Isaac raised his voice.

Alistair, his laughter blending with the beats, glanced back and retorted, "I'm about to change your life."
