𝟥𝟨| 𝒪𝓃𝒸𝑒 𝒶 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝓃𝑒𝓇...

Leah's Pov 

Christmas season was over, which was always a shame as it is my favourite time of year. The Season had started, there was a different atmosphere in training these past few weeks. Jordan hasn't been herself, she hasn't been many minutes on the pitch during games which has not only frustrated her but frustrated many other players too as Jordan is such a fantastic player and she has been at the club long enough in fact she was there before I was so it shows how long she has devoted her time and skills to the club. There had been some rumours about Jordan transferring to a new club but I didn't believe that as Arsenal was the place she would stay.  I had gone to Jonas a few days ago and voiced my concerns and that he needs to give her some more minutes or at least let her start in a few games. His reply back was that he already has a strong starting line up and he will try and give her some minutes, which I thought was a pathetic excuse. 

We were all sat in the canteen having some breakfast, I was sat with Lia, Caitlin, Jen, Jordan and Katie "So Leah when does Luke get back on the pitch" Katie asked "Erm next month I think he could be back" I said "Ooooh exciting I bet he can't wait to be back on the pitch" Jen said "Yeah I can't wait for him to be back on he's doing my nut in" I said with a laugh "Ooh marital troubles and not even married yet... speaking of have you got a date set for the wedding" Jordan said "we said sometime end of may/ June before the world cup starts... but in the next few days we are going to book everything and then there will be a date set and then the invites will be handed out if you are lucky enough to make the list" I said with a laugh "well it's a good thing we are all good friends here and we know when to take a joke "Caitlin said. "Oh who said I was joking" I said as I smirked and got up from the table to go to the boot room to get my boots on.

We all headed to the pitch to start training and preparations for the next match. Since breakfast Jordan has been a bit distant with a few of us during training which we didn't know why as she was fine with us at breakfast. Training had finished, I had gone to see Beth in the gym "Hey Beth how you doing" I asked her "As good as I can be, dad's taken it quite hard along with ben which is to be expected" She said and I pulled her in for a hug "How are you doing really" I said to her "Well every day is the same, I expect to hear her voice when I either ring dad or ben and when i go home i expect to see her, even though we prepared ourself for the day to come you can never truly prepare yourself" she said "She's proud of you, you got to spend some of the best moments in your life and career, she even saw you become a European champion" I said "I'm glad I worked my arse of to get into the squad" she said "Well I would have made sure you got into the squad" I said with a laugh "Leah, Beth Jonas want's us in for a meeting he has got something he want's to tell us" Viv said as we followed her. 

We took our seats in the meeting room "you all may be wondering why I have called you all in for a meeting... as you know it's transfer season and we will be getting some new players in but also will be loosing some players... well Jordan has something she would like to say" he said and I felt a pit in my stomach I was praying it wasn't going to be the news I was thinking "Thanks Jonas.... As you know I have been at this club for 12 years and it has been the best 12 years of my life, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills win some titles and meet some of the greatest people I have ever met...but sometimes things must come to an end. The last game was my last game playing for Arsenal and I will be moving to Aston villa, tomorrow is my last day here with the world cup coming up I need to do what I have to get into the squad which i'm sure you will all understand that it is something i have to do but I will always be a gooner and I will continue to support this club but this time it won't be me on the pitch it will be in the stands cheering you on as always. I want to thank each and everyone of you who have supported me all these years" she said and I just stared at her, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I couldn't be in the room any more so I walked out not knowing that she was following me 

"LEAH WAIT" Jordan shouted "WHAT" I shouted back "Woah calm down" Jordan said "Calm down, don't tell me to calm down, could you have not given me some warning" I said "I tried to figure out a way to tell yo but every time I brought myself to tell you I couldn't do it" she said "Could't tell me for gods sake jordan I have known you for ages I thought you could tell me anything" I said "Things changed" she murmured "WHAT THE FUCK HAS CHANGED JORDAN YOU TELL ME BECAUSE I HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE" I shouted "I'M FUCKING IN LOVE WITH YOU LEAH" she said and I was took back "I have been in love with you since I the pandemic when I moved in with you and Luke but I knew I didn't stand a chance at all as he's the love of your life" she said "why didn't you tell me" I said "I didn't want to ruin our friendship" she said "you would have never ruined it, nothing would have changed" I said "I've tried to move on but I can't, that's why I moved out when I could" she said "am I a part of the reason your leaving too because if it is, we can work out something" I rambled "no not at all, i'm leaving is because I want to be on that plane to Australia and I can't get there by being her not getting minutes " she said. I just stared at her and pulled her in for a hug "i'm sorry" I said "what are you sorry for" she replied "I love you, you know but not the way you'd hope" I said "I know and I already came to terms with it, we're still friends and in fact i'm glad you know" she said "does anyone else know" I asked "Katie knew as she could see it when i would look at you and i told Luke at the Euros party and made him swear that he wouldn't tell you" she said "of course he knew" i said with a laugh

The day was finally over hugged Jordan for the last time in a while and got into my car and drove home, Lukes car was there meaning he was back from his training I walked into the house and to the kitchen where Luke was "Hey honey how was training" he asked "Jordan's moving clubs" I said as he spat his drink out and pulled me in for a hug "wait why" he asked "because she isn't getting any playing time and if she wants to be on that plan to Australia then she can't be at a club that wont play her" I said "Oh god that's terrible of Jonas not to be playing her she's was such a vital role to the team" he said "she also told me something else" I said "what did she say" he asked as he stood back from me leaning against the table "that she has been in love with me since she moved in during the pandemic and that you knew... and I'm not going to shout she told me she made you swore to secrecy" I said "I asked her if she wanted me to tell you but she said she wanted it to come from her which is only right, I'm proud of her that she told you" he said "I'm going to miss not seeing her everyday" I said "I know hunny I know" he said
