Leah's pov
It's my favourite time of the year, the lead up to Christmas, all presents were bought. We were spending Christmas Eve and day with my family this year then Boxing Day with Luke's family and then for new years back with my family again.

But today Luke and I were getting ready for the Christmas dinner that Arsenal were putting on for the women's team and their significant others, they put this dinner on every year. We also decided to do secret Santa which was always fun, I had Lia this year for secret Santa so I decided to get her some knew bbq tongs for her to pick her leaf's up but it was personalised with her face all over it. Luke didn't tell me who he had all he's told me is that i think the gift for the person would be hilarious and would like it

Luke's pov
Today was a exciting day, Leah and I had the annual Arsenal Christmas dinner with secret Santa of course. Last year I had Jen but this time I had rue and by god could I not wait to give her Gift which was a pair of shorts with Katie's face all over it and a plaque that said funniest Wag in world which I thought would be funny.

"Luke are you ready" Leah shouted from downstairs, I grabbed the bag that had the presents in and got I got he car. I drove today as I thought of Leah wanted to have a little drink then she could even thought she doesn't usually drink during the season but it's Christmas so she might have one. "You excited" I said "yeah can't believe you won't tell me who you've got" she said "if I did there would be no point in secret Santa" I said and she nodded her head in agreement.

About 10 minutes later we had arrived at the restaurant that had been booked for us all and only is, we didn't have specific seating arrangements but I know for a fact that I'd end up sat next to Katie and Rue only because they'd save me a seat. "Well hello my favourite gunners" I said as I entered the room and gave everyone a hug "Luke I have someone I want you to meet" Jen said to me as she took me to meet someone "this is amber you might recognise her from love island but I've been seeing her for a few months and you both haven't had the chance to meet yet. Amber this is Luke, Leah's fiancé" Jen said "it's lovely to meet you, I didn't watch love island up until last year I had managed for quite a while which I don't know how considering Leah is obsessed and so are the other girls until my own sister went on the show so I watched some of it" I said as she laughed "well let's say it's a experience and it's a show that had the uk in a chokehold, it's lovely to finally meet you, Jens been keeping me up to date with everyone's lives and stuff she only told me a couple of weeks ago that you and Leah got engaged, so congratulations" she said "thank you means a lot" I said "how did you both meet if you don't mind me asking" she asked "well we have a mutual friend and we met at a party and well 8 years later here we are newly engaged" I said "you both are so cute together as if you've been together that long, I guess the stars align and you were both meant to be" she said as we looked over to Leah "yeah I guess so, well it was lovely chatting to you I'm sure I'll see you later" I said as I gave her a hug and walked over to where there was a spot in between rue and Katie "well well well , if it isn't my two fav Irishwomen" I said as I pulled them both in for a hug "hello traitor" Katie said as I rolled my eyes "hello lulu" rue said "how come I'm sat in between you both now" I said "well we thought it was easier that straining our necks" Katie said "right yeah, this is going to be a interesting night" I said "what do you mean interesting night" rue said sarcastically "well for starters I'm sat I'm between the both of you and two well it's you two" I said " I cannot believe your making these accusations I thought we were friends" rue said "oh shut it you know we are" I said

*time skip*
Dinner was served and it was time for present time leah had been given hers which was a mug with a horrendous photo of me "can I ask where on earth did you get that photo " I voiced "you do remember you were with us during the euros" lotte said "lotte you bitch you've done me dirty there" I said "thanks Lotte I love it" Leah said as she sat the mug j front of me and I rolled my eyes I grabbed my bag from behind me "so my secret Santa is one of the funniest person you'll ever meet unfortunately they don't play for Arsenal but hey ho so my secret Santa is . . . Rue" I said as I passed the bay to her "you've got to be joking" rue said "what" I said "I got you for secret Santa too" she said as we all laughed and she passed me my gifts "oh my god Luke you didn't that's hilarious, at least that's one trophy Katie doesn't have" rue said and laughed and showed Katie "open yours Luke" rue said I grabbed the first gift which was a picture of Katie rue and I when they took me to Dublin when Leah was away and I had a Irish flag painted on my cheek and a pint of Guinness in my hand I opened the next gift which was a t shirt with a picture of me and Leah that had said favourite Hab pointed to me " thanks rue I love it Hab doesn't sound as good as a wag though" I said and everyone laughed I took my jumper off and put the top on and Leah took a photo and put it on her instagram.

Wasn't long later the gift giving was done and the staff had cleaned up the tables. Everyone was getting tired and was about to leave when jonas stands up " I just wanted to say a few words before you all leave, this year so far you've all had a fantastic season so far excluding the injuries but you have all done brilliantly, i know some of you have had a hard past few month but I'm proud of everyone who's rallied round to make sure everyone's ok" he said as he looked to mine and Leah's direction " other than that hope you all have a lovely Christmas and shall see you in a few weeks back for the season to start" Jonas said as we all applauded

We had decided to stay for a little longer well I hadn't Leah had demanded that we stay for another hour or two. Katie's currently supplying her with more drinks meaning she was getting even worse, she's told Beth and Viv that they are staying at ours and I'll take them home and I'll take Viv to get her car in the morning.

I walked over to the bar to get myself a drink "hiya mate can I have a coke and a water please" I said as I grabbed my wallet out my back pocket, the bar man went and poured the drinks when I see a head of blonde hair next to me and the familiar sent. "There's your drink babe" I said as I passed her the drink "thank you but I have a fiancé" she said as she waved the ring in my direction "Leah I am your fiancé" I said with a laugh "no your not" she said "well if I'm not tell me about your fiancé" I said "well he's called Lucas Owen he plays for Chelsea which is one of his red flags but he makes it up by being a good fiancé he looks after me and my family and takes my grandma out when I can't and he's just amazing and oh I can't forget he's really really good in bed" she said and I blushed at the comments "is that your fiancé on your Lock Screen" I said as I looked at her phone she looked at me than at the Lock Screen and she went wide eyed "omg Lucas it's you" she slurred "when did you get here" she slurred again "I think we should get you home" I said as I put my arms around her we walked towards Viv and Beth who was in the same state as Leah "Viv we're going home get these two in bed before they end up in worse states" I said to Viv who nodded and grabbed Beth by the waist we said our goodbyes to the rest of the team.

I put Leah in the front seat and buckled her in and gave her a quick kiss. Viv put Beth in the back and she say next to her. I got in the drivers seat and drove us home. As soon as we set off Leah was asleep and Beth was gobbing our ears off. About 10 minutes later we got back to the house. I ran and unlocked the door before running back to the car and opening the passenger door, I picked Leah up and carried her into the house and to our room "Viv in the top draw there is some pyjamas for you both that you left last time" I whispered "thank you goodnight" Viv said "goodnight see you in the morning" I said as I took Leah to our room, I got her changed out of her clothes and into some pyjamas before getting myself changed and into bed next to her, I pulled her closer to me before drifting to sleep knowing she was going to have a sore head in the morning along with Beth.
