Anya didn't want to allow herself to be excited about driving through West Kensington. She only heard of the popularity of that neighborhood, but she never dared to visit it. It would be too painful to come back to her shabby apartment, and she still felt that way now.

She thought that they were only passing through, but then Dominic parked the car, opened her door and took her hand. They walked up to the man standing in front of the door to one of the houses.

"Mr. Oldfield, it's a pleasure to see you. Why don't we go inside?"

Dominic followed behind him, his grip tightly around Anya. Even though she enjoyed the sensation, she couldn't help but tug it a little bit. It made him stop and look at her.

"What is it?"

"What are we doing here, Dominic? As in, what are we doing in this particular neighborhood?"

"We're going inside."

"That's cute. Now, seriously."

"Let's just go inside, all right? I'll explain in a little bit."

"Lead the way, then."

She smiled, sensing that his grip on her hand tightened in a very pleasant, securing way. They climbed the stairs to one of the houses that were turned into two apartments, one on each floor. The man waited for them on the second floor, next to the apartment on the right.

He unlocked the door and came inside, and Dominic followed. They walked into a long hallway. The man began touring them through the place.

"A spacious bathroom with shower and a bathtub are the first door on the right. The previous owners took a good care of the place, so hardly any renovation is needed. They also installed jacuzzi, if need be. Over here...", he opened the double door at the end of the hallway, "...we have the heart of this apartment. The living room. There is a built in fireplace with real wood. The carpets can be removed, there are wooden tiles beneath it and the heat isolation is excellent. That guarantees that the place will be warm enough during winter."

Anya's eyes were widespread. She couldn't help but admire the place. She removed her hand from Dominic's, and went to the window. She looked through it. A peaceful area, yet not isolated that she would feel claustrophobic. She loved seeing the movement on the street. Family cars were parked outside apartments.

Her heart warmed at the sight of a mother walking down the road with a stroller, and she smiled. She couldn't hear Dominic or the man. She focused on the view outside of the apartment. She could see the sun and she relished it.

She felt Dominic's arms sliding over her waist, wrapping themselves around her. She leaned back on his chest and smiled, closing her eyes.

"What do you think," he whispered into her ear, not omitting to nibble her earlobe a little bit.

"This place is amazing."

"And you haven't even see the bedroom and the kitchen."

"I'm sorry, I got mesmerized by the view."

"We're in no rush, enjoy as much as you want."

"Well, I can hardly do that now that you've mentioned the bedroom."

"That's my girl," he chuckled. She turned around and kissed his lips. His face was that of a pure bliss.

"Why are we here, Dominic?"

He raised a brow just slightly, and then pulled her to his chest once again. His voice was calm and soothing.

"Anya...I brought you here today because I need your help finding the perfect apartment for us."
