Ashley's pov:

"Mi nuh think him aguh duh nun whe aguh really hurt yuh mi just feel like him a try get under yuh skin likkle," Vanessa says as she flat irons her hair

"Yeah, and it a work now suh him need fi stop." I told her as I sighed in frustration.

"Poor thing, just nuh badda duh nun else den if yuh want him fi stop."

Oh I won't

The fact that he's spitefully ignoring me is driving me crazy and knowing that I am the one that's wrong so he genuinely has a right to be acting this way makes it even worse.

Coming like mi a dead to rass

A message came in from my father stating that he's gonna be home late, so I should either cook or buy something to eat.

I mean, I would cook but there is nothing here for me to prepare, so I would still have to go on the road.

"Girl mi affi heng up and guh aguh buy summ fi eat."

Not gonna lie; I'm not feeling fast food right now, but I'm too tired to go into the supermarket.

"Arrite lata", she says then proceeds to end the call

Since I'm just going to buy something to eat, I decided to wear something simple.
It's an aqua blue all-in-one tights suit paired with my white Sandals and my white purse. I then applied some perfume and then lipgloss and called the on-time taxi.

If such man neva inna him feelings mi woulda mek him come fimi but no....

A minute later, the taxi was outside

"Evening, uncle." I greeted him as I closed the door and made myself comfortable in the seat.

"Waam mumz longtime mi nuh hear from yuh everything good how you and yuh fada?"

"We Arrite."

"Glad fi hear dat whe Yah guh now?"

"Sov mi a guh wah buy summ fi eat."

"Aii nuh seh a word." Was the last thing he said as he took the car out of the park and drove off.

Minutes later and I'm in Popeyes waiting for the number on my receipt to be called.

The ppl dem slow in ere suh mi nah get through fi now.

Good thing Mi have service pon Mi phone....

I connected my AirPods to my phone and then went on tik tok, turning down the volume to a point where I could still hear when my number was called.

As I was scrolling through my Fyp, I realised that someone was standing in front of me, I paused Whatever I was doing to see who it was.

What a coincidence...

"Hey, second time running into you, must be a sign," He says.

Or maybe you a stalk mi...

"Or maybe you're just stalking me," I say jokingly

"Shit, even if I am, can you blame me. Have you seen yourself?"

Den hear yah nuh

"Well, thank you."

"You're welcome beautiful."

"Are you mixed?" I asked.

"Why'd you ask."

"Well, your English is too strong for you to just be a Jamaican."

"Lol yeah, you're right. My parents are Jamaican."
