New beginnings

Ashley's pov:

Sunday
9:30 a.m

Woken by the loud knock on my door, I got up to acknowledge who it was.

Only my fada alone beat down my door suh

"Suh a how it look like you just a wake suh and today a Sunday?" I rolled my eyes and sighed at his question

"Daddy tomorrow Mi a guh back a school enuh, yuh fi low mi mek mi get some rest."

"And a dats why yuh fi wake early, hurry up and sort out yuhself cause you a cook dinner today, breakfast done and a wait pon yuh"
He shouts while he exits the room.

Thank god

I proceeded to clean my room and freshen up myself, then head downstairs for breakfast.

It was fry dumpling with baked beans, I didn't eat much cause I'm not a morning person.

"Nuh badda waste it enuh ash whatever yuh nuh wah lef it mi will eat it." He said as I got up and covers the food.

"Dats why yuh shoulda low mi mek Mi slp." I respond

"Yuh can gwan nuh man nuh wah nuh lazy woman and only lazy people sleep late."

I rolled my eyes at his comment
"A bay idiot inna diss a generation yah enuh daddy dem tek anything and work wid it"

He laughs at my comments
"A you seh suh anuh me"

The conversation went on for about 15 minutes until he decide that he was going outside for a smoke.

I washed the dishes and cleaned the living room then went back upstairs to my room.
I took my phone off the charger and called my mom.

"Morning mam"

"Morning ash, some things mi deh a sort fi yuh"

"Whe yah sort out now?"

"Mi buy some more decor fi yuh room"

"Thank god, anyways Mi just a call fi check pon yuh"

"Mi good mon, Mi a guh pon a date later"

"Yuh feel yuh big??"

"No cah Mi neva know you a the mother and not me"

I laughed at her response

"As yuh seh date, Mi and the boy whe mi did a tell yuh bout start talk a back"

"A lie everything good wid onuh now?"

"Yea we're good for now"

"Mi hope it stay that way, any way, Mi aguh duh mi toe mi soon call yuh back"

"Arrite lata hopefully Mi can meet yuh date one a dem day yah"

"When yuh mek mi meet who yah talk to Mi Will duh the same."

"Arrite mam lata," I said then end the call.
I began to scroll through tik tok for about half an hour.

I checked the time
12:10 a.m,
then head downstairs to prepare dinner
This man likes to eat his Sunday dinner early for some strange reason.

After two hours of preparing the meal, I called my father and we both sat around the table to eat dinner.

"Bwoi mi affi thank god fi yuh mi daughter, dinner nice bad" he adds while resting his plate in the sink

"Thanks" I respond with a pleased look on my face.

After doing the dishes I went back to my room to watch something on Netflix while responding to my messages on WhatsApp

'Ready up fi tomorrow' ~ shenell

'Somewhat 🤥'

'Orientation a 9:00 suh mi aguh come fi yuh
round 8 or suh.'

'Aii bet'

After sending the message I rest my phone on the nightstand and continue to watch my comfort show, 'victorious.'

I don't care how old I am when it comes to the old
Disney and nickelodeon tv show and movie I'm gonna watch it.

Minutes later I fell asleep but was interrupted by the loud ringing of my phone
A who suh bright fi a disturb me sleep now (eye roll)

Him....

"Hi"

"How yuh face look suh like yuh did a sleep?"

"That's because I was"

"My bad, want me to call you later?"

"No, it's fine, what's up"

"Nothing I just wanted to call you."

"Why?"

"Because I missed you"

Why mi a blush like a 12-year-old????

"Really?"

"Hhhmm, so how was your day?"

"It was okay, you know the regular Sunday chores Jamaicans would do on a Sunday. How was yours?"

"Busy and stressed as usual. But I'm okay now because I'm talking to you"

I blushed at his comment, once again.

"Ready for your first day tomorrow?"

"Umm I think so"

"You'll be okay gorgeous"

"Hopefully"

"Shit I have to go I have a zoom meeting at 6 talk to you later"

"Okay bye"

"Bye gorgeous" he adds then ends the call.

Monday

5:30 am

I cannot believe it's the first day of school already.

I just wanna get the day over with and come back home.

I hopped in the shower and let the cold water beat my skin
A lot of people rather shower with warm water than cold but I love cold showers.

I applied my bath and body works body wash, then washed off. After which I did my skin routine and head back to my room to put on my undergarments.

I decided to do my hair in one
My signature hairstyle.

After which I put on my uniform and my school shoes. I applied my bath and body works perfume and went for my bag
I took a picture and sent it to my mom and Vanessa

"Arrite Mi daughter uniform just siddung pon yuh suh"~mom

I respond to both messages and then head downstairs to say goodbye to my dad being that shenell was outside.

"Daddy lata"

"Wah, yuh like nice inna yuh uniform mi daughter mek sure yuh sen picture to mi phone. "

"Aii"
I gave him a small hug and then left.

"Come a the front girl mi aguh pick up the the other three on the way"

"Morning" I respond while buckling my seatbelt

"Yuh uniform just siddung pon yuh eh girl" she exclaimed

"Mi a tell yuh, see how your skirt short and tight"

"Yah guh low mi."

I shook my head and laughed. We finally picked up Mikayla,Rihanna and Tiana however, we were stuck in a little traffic, still managed to reach on time
