𝐈 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐓 Sandor wish me goodbye, because this isn't goodbye. Or that's what I want to believe. I follow Sansa to the back of the crypt, on our way spotting Gilly and little Sam. The silence inside was even more scary than the shouts of battle outside. I place myself next to Gilly, giving her a reassuring smile, which she tried to return and her son a ruffling in his hair.

Hours passed in total quiet, except when Sansa and Tyrion talk now and then or when Bran and other children it's been too quiet and decided to let out small sounds, but in rest, nothing at all. I was full of worry, hardly smiled when my son tugged at my hair to pay attention to him.

And yet, as in every normal day, the dawn came, and the dead disappeared with the darkness.

I was one of the firsts to dare exit the crypt and then began looking for Sandor, or at least other familiar faces. At first I started thinking that he had left us again and for good, however arms coiled around my waist from behind.

𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐒 gave one last goodbye to Jorah Mormont and Sansa to Theon, Jon walked forward The sight wasn't pleasant and it left a grim taste in my mouth

"We're here to say goodbye to our brothers and sisters" my brother shouted "To our fathers and mothers. To our friends, our fellow men and women, who set aside their differences to fight together and die together so the others might live" My gaze looks around to see other survivors of this battle before setting it back on Jon

"Everyone in this world owes them a debt that can never be repaid. It is our duty and our honor to keep them alive in memory for those who come after us and those who come after them, for as long as men draw breath. They were the shields that guarded the realms of men and we shall never see their like again" he declared and gave permission for the dead to be burned
