Nessa started jumping up and down as she squealed, "My car!" She yelled as my dad brought out a pink mini car for those kids that love to drive around
"What do you say?" Miguel asked
"Thank you grandpa Chris" she said before giving him a kiss on the cheek as he smiled,he started walking back over back to my mom
"Thanks pops" miguel said to him,my dad pat his shoulder as he walked past us.Miguel got comfortable with my parents so he's doing what I do,I call his mother ma and he calls my dad pops
TIME SKIP
"Bye see you soon" I said to Wendy as we pulled away from our hug,she blew me a kiss before leaving.We said goodbye to our friends
"See you tomorrow beautiful" Taty said giving me a cheek kiss,I waved at her as she left with Mason who said goodbye to miguel and I as well.
As everyone left,miguel and I looked at Milo who was smelling nessa neck.I chuckled "you enjoyed your birthday?" I asked her
"Yes! Cool stuff mama" she said while pointing at her new toys and extra stuff,miguel laughed
"It's time for bed princesa" miguel spoke,she nodded before he picked her up and started taking her upstairs.
I followed behind them as he placed her on the bed,I started taking off her jewelry and her clothes as miguel walked out to go to our room.
After I got nessa ready for bed,I tucked her in and caress her head. "Mommy" she whispered
"Yes mi niña?"
"Are we staying with daddy?" I smiled at her as I nodded
"Yeah we have to pick up our stuff tomorrow and bring it over here,you can have all your toys here now" I told her,she lightly smiled
"Why didn't we stay with daddy before?" She asked,I sighed
"I'll tell you that maybe when you're older but for now,we are with him and we are happy with that right?" I asked as she nodded
"Yeah..I don't want to leave daddy again"
"I don't want to leave him either baby..get some sleep,we gotta wake up early tomorrow" I told her,she closed her eyes as I sat there waiting for her to fall in a deep sleep.
I looked at the doorway seeing miguel leaning against it with one arm holding him as the other was in his Jean pocket,I looked back at nessa and noticed her was body wasn't tense anymore.
I slowly got up and walked over to miguel, "I don't want you to leave me either" he whispered as he took one of my hands
"Then don't go back to your ways" I said,he shook his head as he lead me to the bedroom.
"I won't as long as you don't either,I don't want nessa being caught up in our toxicity..I want her to stay in one house with both of her parents" I smiled before laying my lips on his
He pulled away, "Mason told me that uh..him and Taty are getting serious and he's gonna ask her out to be his girlfriend"
I chuckled "yeah she told me the same thing,I hope nothing bad happens between them" I said
"Yeah me either,hey do you mind if we don't do anything tonight? I'm tired and we have to wake up early in the morning" he says,I nodded with a reassuring smile
"So that means don't scoot your ass back" he said,I rolled my eyes before sitting on the bed to take off my shoes "cause I know what you being doing when you do that"
"Yeah and you fall for it every time"
he scoffed
