"I can't believe you're forcing me to go to some camp to help kids," I looked at my dad in disbelief, and then sat on my bed.
"Well you need to get out of the house and make some friends," My father rubbed his head. "I don't need friends, my books are my friends. Besides I don't wanna watch kids either," I rolled my eyes and looked at a page from a book I was reading.
My father grabbed my book from me making me look at him, "Look Y/n, I'm tired of seeing you like this. You need to live a little before you old and gray like me," He smiled and pinched my cheek, I glared at him.
He then let it go and I rubbed my face. I grumbled as I got up and took my book back.
"Besides it'll be fun, you can find something you're into," My father rubbed my head. I scowled and sat back down reading again.
"I won't find anything interesting," I frowned and pulled my book back into my face.
It was getting to the best part where the girl kissed the guy under the sunset. What I would give to be kissed in the way the book describes, that'd be a dream.
I sighed, man I'm such a degenerate.
My father stared at me blankly, flattening his lips in a thin line, "Here's the camp flyer for your job," He handed it to me and walked out. I took it as I read my book setting it down next to me.
I continued reading then paused. I continued glancing at my book and then the flyer. I then fully looked at it curiously.
I set book down then grabbed it. Reading each word and the small description. I squinted at it and grimaced.
"A talent camp really?" I don't have any good talents, what the hell would I teach them? Most of the time I'm just reading or listening to music.
I bit my nail and sighed looking down.
I got up off my bed and walked over to my desk and pulled out my notebook. I set it down then grabbed my phone and put my headphones in.
I started humming and drawing random things. It was one of my favorite hobbies to do when I was bored or stressed.
Anatomy was a truly difficult but fun thing to learn. My favorite thing was drawing the details on people's faces. Everyone had different kinds of beauty.
"Y/n make sure you pack up! You're leaving soon!" My dad yelled from down the stairs. It was loud enough to be heard over my headphones.
I grumbled again and slammed my head on my desk.
Then I looked up at my wall, "I fucking hate packing," I mumbled my chin still against the table.
Then I rubbed my face and got up.
I turned my headphones down so I could hear around me. Then I walked over to my closet and started throwing random clothes into my suitcase.
There was a light knock on my door, "Hey Y/n, how are you feeling," My stepmom stuck her head in asking me. I took my headphones off putting them around my neck and glared at her.
"I'm fine Kelly," I muttered and continued to grab stuff.
She looked at my suitcase and blinked. "You know Y/n, I could help you-"
"I don't want your help," I scoffed emphasizing the 'your.'
She was a product of my dad cheating on my mom 2 years ago. When my mom found her in my bed she lost it. That was one thing me and her had in common we were very calm about things until we weren't.
My mom already had an idea that my father was cheating but she never expected him to do it in their bed. That was the trigger as she felt like he had no respect for her anymore. So she got a divorce and the result became a custody battle for me.
