Young Steve's Pov-

"Emery your it!" Mary yelled laughing running off a different direction I smiled running in front of her "I'm gonna get you Steve" I laughed running ahead of her. I turned the bend crashing into Emery's brother Logan I fell on my butt. "Logan!" Emery ran past me hugging her brother. I smiled softly standing up "Sorry emery didn't mean to interrupt" Her brother was at least thirteen Emery was twelve and I was also thirteen Mary was only ten. "No it's okay what's going on?" I asked he looked at us then leaned down whispering. John walked up to us "Steve Mary we need to go home" he looked a mess.

"But dad were playing" Mary ran up next to us I looked over at Emery she was hugging Logan crying. "Emery what's wrong?" I pushed my self up off the grass she shook her head. "I'm fine Steve thanks for asking I umm I have to go home now I'll see you guys later" she gave me and mary a hug leaving.

If anyone would of told me this a long time ago that it would be the last time I'd see Emery I'd tell you that your funny and crazy for thinking that. Me and Mary followed our father home there was a bunch of cops from my father's department still there. As the day went on we got the news that our mother has died in a car explosion and that our father wanted to ship us off to Hawaii.

Present day Emery's Pov-

"I want to say that I'm sad to announce that Agent Rhyes is stepping down from the department Agent Rhyes do you have anything to say?" I stood up out my chair smoothing down my shirt I walked up to the front of the room looking at my boss Nick Johnson. "Thank you Nick, I am proud to say I worked along side a great team. Jordan, Nathan, Ethan, Hailey and Rich you guys were always there helping me out every mission we went on every attack we had to deal with you had my back. Now that I'm stepped down as you're leader I'd like to announce the next leader of your team." They all smiled proud of themselves

I'm gonna miss this place but after losing my brother to a case that he was never apart of he was only a cop for our town which killed me. He was never supposed to be on that scene. "Jordan please step forward." She stood up walking towards the front "I'd like to announce that Jordan Lynn Simmons will be your new leader of the DEA secret tactical team if you accept?" I asked her she smiled proud "I accept." I smiled placing the badge in her hands

"Congratulations Lieutenant Simmons"  she smiled pulling me into a tight hug I laughed a little hugging her back the whole room cheered. As the day went on I left the ceremony early I packed my things up to go down to Hawaii and surprise my friends. Mary and Steve McGarrett there was a knock on my door I walked over opening it to see Jordan standing there with the team. "You thought we would let you leave with out saying goodbye?" Nathan said I laughed shaking my head.

"I thought I could but I guess I can't." Ethan laughed shaking his head "So Hawaii? What's down there waiting for you?" Hailey asked I walked back towards the living room as my old team entered "I have some friends I haven't seen them since I was a kid playing outside in this front yard." I pointed out my window Ethan opened my fridge pulling a old pizza box out "Is this still good?" He asked I laughed shaking my head "No it's not don't eat it" he groaned loudly

"But I'm hungry" I shook my head laughing a bit I finished packing pulling my backpack on. "Alright I' think I'm ready." Nathan stepped forward "Let is give you a ride to the airport least we can do?" He asked I sighed nodding my head. "Okay let's go" we loaded up the cars i road with Ethan "So you told me a long time ago that there was this kid named Steve you use to play with think you will see him?" He asked I nodded my head smiling down at my hands a little.

"He was this annoying talkative boy that was the brother of my best friend.  I kinda hope I'll see him it's been ages." Ethan laughed shaking his head "Didn't he have a crush on you?" He asked I nodded my head. The memories flooded my head I smiled softly. Steve started to have this thing for me once we hit the teenager years. He would call me all the time after we moved he'd text me on a daily basis. But things have changed after we got older we haven't talked since then.

We pulled down the road that lead to the airport I sighed deeply. "What's wrong?" He asked I shook my head "I haven't seen neither of them for a long time I don't even know what to do or say?" Ethan parked the car out side the air port looking over at me. "Well if I were in your shoes I'd go see Mary first save Steve for last" I looked over at him nodding my head "Saving the best for last huh?" I asked him he laughed climbing out the car.

"No because when we talk about him you have that twinkling spark in your eyes" I raised my eyebrow climbing out the car. "What? No I don't." He laughed walking around to the side of his car leaning against it with the others. "Sureeeeeee you don't" I tugged my backpack over my shoulder "Now go get your man just don't forget about us alright?" Hailey said walking over to me pulling me into a hug it then ended up as a group hug before I boarded my plan heading off to Hawaii
