Hey guys, I know I've been gone for far too long but if you head to my bio, you'd see why in the description. I did not expect to come back to wattpad to resume writing so here's a HUGE THANK YOU to you guys out there who commented and liked my story. YOU were the reason why I came back to writing. I wished I had come back sooner but I really had no idea that my story had people genuinely wanting to read more. YOU GUYS DA BOMB!

I looked back on the old chapters and realised (mainly from the always over-excited caption) that I was so young then. I edited the old chapters slightly (mainly grammatical errors and stuff) and am now (FINALLY, LOL) adding the latest chapter. Oh, and I'll be keeping the overly-excited comments from my earlier chapters to remind me of my younger days. (I swear, as I was reading them, all I could do was go O_O) Last but not least, I ask for your continuous support and please please please pleaseeeee continue to comment and vote :)

Brett glanced around the room. He was feeling elated. His team was now formed with some of the best and most elite people in their field. It was far better that he had hoped when even Chase took an interest in their little party. But something was nudging him at the back of his head but he chose to ignore it first. "Sooo_" he trailed off. Now what?

"What now?" Lance asked, leaning forward. He too, was excited and partly curious. The main reason why he agreed to it in the first place was to try getting into Jade's good books. Plus, he has not gotten a proper job since a few months back and killing jobs are not paying as lucratively as they used to. So he was not joking when he said he was running low on cash.

"We break into Granger's house," Chase stated simply. He has been waiting for this ever since he figured out what Brett was up to. It was one of the main reasons Chase tracked his brother down and was so keened on joining the group.

"Wait, what? Already?" Jade was slightly overwhelmed. Well, that escalated quickly. She took a look around the room. It was an odd bunch for sure. She would not have thought in a million years that she would sit down with and plan an assassination with Brett, the new kid and his brother. As her eyes wandered over them, she noticed Brett staring thoughtfully at Chase.

Something was off. Brett was sure of it the moment Chase mentioned breaking into Granger's house. He has not mentioned anything about Granger to Lance and seeing how impatient Chase was, he was now positive something was up. "I think there is something you're not telling us, Chase," Brett said quietly, staring Chase down. Brett had a hunch that Chase did not just decide on joining their troop without a legitimate reason and he was curious as to what it was. What drove you to finally reveal yourself?

Chase leveled Brett's stare. He was not left with much choice. Especially not when Lily's life was at stake. After a moment of hesitation, Chase sighed. "My fiancée was kidnapped by Granger a few days ago," he began. "It wasn't possible to rescue her on my own nor was it possible with just Lance's help."

Lance snapped his head to his brother's direction. Lily was taken?  He recalled just having dinner with both of them lovebirds last weekend. How much has he missed? "Since when?"

"Two days ago," Chase replied quietly. "We were at our usual bar drinking and chatting on our own when a fat disgusting man came stumbling up on our table. He went on and on calling Lily his Julia and that it was me who kidnapped her away from him. He soon started crying while trying to hug Lily when I decided I had to step in_"

"Julia? You sure you got that right?" Brett interrupted. Julia Granger, the dead daughter of Elliot Granger.

"Yea, positive. She's his dead daughter right?" Chase replied, earning a nod from Brett. "I looked him up afterwards but that night, seeing how aggressive he was, we just got up and tried to leave. But I didn't notice that he had bodyguards with him. Knocking me out was a piece of cake when I was outnumbered seven to one," he shook his head, remorseful. "When I finally regained consciousness, I was lying on the side of the road and Lily was missing."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Lance questioned his brother. His head was reeling from knowing that his brother kept so much from him. Lance felt anger now. Anger at the man who took his brother's beloved away. Chase and Lily were childhood sweethearts and they have been engaged for a year. Lance could he see how tormented his brother was especially since their marriage was set in a few months' time. "You don't think he'd kill her right?"

"Of course not, Granger was probably under the impression that Lily was his dead daughter Julia. He wouldn't harm her." Jade butted in. This sure escalated quickly.

"Jade's right, I don't think he'd harm her yet." Brett said. "But that also means we have to form a plan, quickly."

The odd combination of the group sat down and tried putting their heads together. Jade had initially thought that it would be difficult formulating a plan together when everyone had different personalities but she was pleasantly surprised. Probably driven by the fact that someone close to their heart has her life on the line, Lance and Chase were both going with the flow and taking in Brett's suggestions seriously.

"Everyone happy?" Brett asked, after three gruelling hours of planning. He glanced at his companion's faces. Lance had a determined look on his face whereas his brother, Chase seemed tired but had a slightly more relieved look now that he had hopes of rescuing his fiancée. He turned to look at Jade who gave a slight smile towards his direction and Brett grinned back.

Payback's a bitch, Granger.
