Italics - Bilbo's writing•❅───✧❅✦❅✧───❅•
An older Bilbo sat at a desk writing, "My dear Frodo, you asked me once if I had told you everything there was to know about my adventures. And, while I can honestly say I have told you the truth, I may not have told you all of it. I am old now, Frodo. I'm not the same hobbit as I once was." He then glanced over, with a small smile, at a drawing of his younger self.
Just peeking out underneath, was another drawing, but of a woman. "I think it is time for you to know what really happened," he wrote vigorously as his nephew Frodo Baggins, a young hobbit boy, walked in with the daily mail."What's this?" Frodo inquired with a smile as he looked over Bilbo's shoulder at his drawing. Before Bilbo could swat his grubby little hand away, Frodo had picked up both drawings. "Is this you?" He asked with a knowing grin.
"Yes," Bilbo replied sheepishly.
"Well then, who is she?" Frodo asked, holding up the drawing of the woman to Bilbo.
Bilbo snatched the drawing from Frodo's hand and held it to his chest. "She...," Bilbo trailed off before peering down at the drawing. "Lyra. Lyra Blackford." He said with newfound courage. "I suppose she was my best friend. I haven't seen her in a very long while." He spoke these words softly, laced with sorrow.
