Breaking Dawn (part three: Ruby pov)

"It worked." he said smiling. "I didn't know you felt like that. It's nice to know." he continued and I smiled at him before I imagined pulling it back and with another snap I only felt mine again.

"Okay so that's solved." I nodded."Now to see if I could it to others." I said.

"Then do the same thing you just did." Kate said, and I stared at her for longest time, until she raised her eyebrow. It's one thing to picture my own emotions but how do I picture others? I thought to myself and just for a second I saw a small swirl of colors around her before it disappeared. I furrowed my eyebrows as I concentrated harder and the colors appeared again until they looked liked they were radiating out of her. I then looked to Garret, who looked confused and did the same thing until I could see colors coming off both of them, some darker or lighter than others. I then tried to picture those colors turning to a rope and those two ropes attaching together. Kate shifted nervously and looked to me.

"Is that you I'm feeling?" She asked and I shook my head, Looking to Garret  briefly. She followed my gaze and looked at him next to her before a look of surprise came to both their faces.

"You're doing it my love." Seiya said excitedly, wrapping her arms around my waist.

"Yeah it's a lot harder with others though." I say, squinting my eyes as I tried to unattached them mentally. It took a couple of tries and what felt like forever but I finally did it and I rubbed my head when I was done. I felt mentally drained all of a sudden, like I needed to stop thinking for a while.

"I think that's enough for today." Seiya said watching me with a frown. She wasn't currently bonded to me but I guest there was a look on my face that told her.

"Yeah I agree. You did a good job Ruby." Edward said in an encouraging tone but his face looked concerned.

"I'm alright guys. That's just a little tiring mentally." I say looking at them.

"That's normal. It was your first time. You'll get the hang of it. You too Bella." Kate said and we both nodded at the same time, before we looked at each other and laughed.

"How about little group hunt to relax?" Seiya suggested, smiling at everyone as ran her fingers through my hair.

It was Christmas Day and while the house wasn't decked out in Christmas decorations, it still felt a little festive.
Esme had went out and bought gifts for everyone, including all of Carlisle's friends. The only one who didn't get one was Alistar who left about a week ago without  telling anyone. I don't think he will be missed though. And Alice and jasper's presents were waiting for them when they returned. I even bought Seiya a gift although she protested.

"I wanted to." I told her when she complained.

"But I didn't get you anything." She said.

"That's okay. You can make it up to me later." I grinned winking and she chuckled. I watched as she opened it and a smile lit her face.

"It's beautiful. I love it." She said and kissed me so deeply that I felt it in our bond. It was a silver necklace with a carved Rose on one side and our family crest on the other. Unlike her earrings, this was something she could wear all the time.

Bella had let Renesmee give us both homemade cards that she made us before taking her to to see her dad. Which was actually a good idea because if he came here with all these vampires, it would have been a huge problem. As I thought about all this, I was gazing out the window at the falling snow. I pulled out my cell phone and pressed the button before putting it to my ear. After the third ring, it picked up.
