Breaking Dawn (part three: Ruby pov)

"Don't worry Kate doesn't have a death wish." I said to Seiya and rubbed her back as I continued to watch. Kate briefly looked to where we were before looking back at Bella.

"Alright. This one's on full power." Kate said holding her palm up and Edward looked back at Bella, with a pleading look, begging her to get this right this time, before looking to Kate and holding his arm out. Once again I saw the invisible force come from Bella and it spread until it enveloped Edward in it, just before Kate shocked him. This time he remained upright as she held on, only scrunching up his face slightly. That was the only indication that he felt anything before she stopped.

"It's painful but it's bearable." Edward said looking at Bella and she smiled, pleased.

"Okay we should go again." She said and Edward stepped back looking to the others.

"Emmett." He said and I watched as Emmett stepped away, along with Garret.

"I'm good." He said and Seiya burst out laughing and I smiled, amused as Emmett looked up at us. "What's so funny? Why don't you two come down and help." He said to us.

"Nope I think we're good. You guys are doing a great job though." I said clapping my hands and Seiya laughed more while throwing them a thumbs up.

They practiced for a little more before calling it a day. I then called Bella, Edward, Kate and Garret over before I let myself fall backwards, flipping from the tree, Seiya landing gracefully next to me. I told them that I need practice with my own ability to see what all I could do with it.

"Well then you need to do the same as Bella. Both of your powers are mental. Well yours needs to have some emotional traits but I think it's mostly mental." Kate said and I nodded.

"So what should I do first? Mine isn't a shield." I say to her.

"Maybe yours is like a rope or string. You need to visualize it and feel how it moves and looks, feel those connections." Kate said stepping back and nodded at me to do what she said.

I sighed and looked to Bella. I had a feeling this part was gonna be harder.
"Don't beat me up Bella, this is just a test to see if I can bind others to me and to each other." I explained.

"Oh I won't." She said shaking her head, her face showing surprise. I looked at my brother and concentrated all my thoughts, feelings and emotions for him as his sister. How can I always tell him things that no one else will know. Not even things I'm comfortable talking to Seiya about yet. How appreciative I am that he can keep things that he shouldn't know or hear a secret. I focused all those feelings and pushed them towards him like I did when I practiced with Seiya last night. Our bonding I had down by now and could cut it off whenever I wanted. I just had to see if the rest was possible.

"Did it work?" I asked looking at him and he shook his head no.

"I heard your thoughts and the emotions you were trying to send but I don't feel them and based on your face you don't feel mine."he said and I cursed in my head. "Don't give up yet. Just try again." He said with a smile.

"And visualize how it looks then will it to happen." Kate said and I nodded. Visualize it and will it. I imagined all my feelings turning into a rope like she suggested earlier, only this rope had multiple colors that swirled like a kaleidoscope. I imagined it slithering like a snake and pushed it towards Edward, winding around him until he was wrapped in it like he was in Bella's shield. I saw his face change as I felt shock run through me, only it wasn't from me. It was his as my feelings, and emotions invaded his body. I felt his as well. Like his love for his family, Bella and his daughter.
