Breaking Dawn (part three: Ruby pov)

"Oh my god." I said.

"What a unique ability. Maybe not only that but what if you not only can bond to you other souls, but other souls together." Carlisle mused almost like he was talking to himself. That thought only increased my shock when all of a sudden I felt concern run through me but it didn't come from me. I turned and looked at Seiya to see her looking at me silently. Rosalie had now joined their conversation, and they were talking as Seiya alternated her gaze from me to them. I turned away back to my brother and father.

"So how do I test it or even control it?" I asked them.

"You'll have to practice." Carlisle said

"Maybe try it with Seiya since you're already bonded to her. Besides she's worried about you and wondering what we're talking about that has you looking tense and panicked." Edward said and the three of us turned her way. She saw us glance at her and looked away, avoiding our gaze.

"Maybe you're right. I'm gonna try it. I'll update you on any change." I say before walking back over to Seiya. "Hey can I borrow Seiya for a while. I need to talk to her." I said to my sisters as I laced my fingers in hers.

"Sure no problem. I need to check on Renesmee anyway." Bella said heading for the stairs. Rose headed back to Emmett and I pulled her towards our room.

I shut the door and locked it when we got inside. If what they said was true then we needed to not be disturbed.

"You okay?" Seiya asked me and and I tugged my hands through my hair, trying to gather my thoughts.

"Yeah just need to discuss something with you." I say sitting down on the bed next to her.

"What is it and what were you talking about with Carlisle and Edward that had you so tense?" She asked me and I turned to her silently.

"Could you tell I was tense by looking at me or did you feel something?" I asked her.

"By looking at you.... But also their was this growing feeling nawing at me. I don't know I've been feeling weird ever since Japan. Do you think it's something going on with my power?" She asked and I shook my head.

"Not yours.....mine." I say quietly and watched as I felt confusion then shock registered in her and on her face.

"What?" She asked.

"That's what I was talking to them about, well mostly. It started
as a different conversation." I say shaking my head before speaking again. "I told them about how I've been able to feel your emotions since Japan and How you could feel me as well."

"So that was you I've been feeling this whole time? Even when we touch?" She asked and I looked at her and nodded quietly.

"I don't know everything, just ideas they were throwing out. But Edward called me a soul bonder. Which mean I bonded our souls together."

"Oh I thought maybe you were some type of empath. Kinda like Jasper. Instead of manipulating emotions maybe you can make others feel each others emotions." Seiya explained and I thought about that explanation.

"That sounds right but also it's also a deeper feeling. Like if I concentrated I could feel what type of person you are deep down. And you could feel the same for me." I say and she looked thoughtful for a bit.
