Breaking Dawn (part three: Ruby pov)

"You're right. Okay I'm ready, sorry about that." I nodded as I watched Aro lift his hands and his guards ran towards everyone. It had turned into an official all out fight now. I glanced at her one last time to see if she was really ready and she nodded, before we both took off running and we could hear the wolves following behind us. In under a few minutes everyone was fighting and both sides was loosing people.

I heard Alice cry out in anger and looked to see Demetri, another vampire in their main Gaurd had decapitated Jasper with the help of Jane. I didn't have  time to even feel sad before I had to quickly turn away as I heard another vampire running towards me. He swiped at me and I caught his arm with my hand, and spun around behind him as I pulled his arm off, before quickly twisting his head off. I looked up to see which way Seiya went when I spotted her having trouble with one she was fighting. I ran up behind him and quickly snaked my arm around his neck, as Seiya swiftly tore his head off with her hands.

"Thanks love he was pretty agile." She said and I couldn't help but grin for a second.

"Anytime." I say as we continued fighting, when there was a rumbling sound and the ground started shaking. I watched in shock as a large crevasse opened in the ground. I turned just in time to evade another attack, before grabbing him by his arm, swinging him around and kicking him into Seiya's open hands. She held him by his throat, spun him around and kicked him in the back, right into the crevasse.

I had started fighting another guard so I didn't know anything was wrong until I heard Seiya call out to me. I quickly killed the guard and turned around in time to see her hand slip from sight inside the Crevasse. I quickly ran over and saw Seiya struggling to stay latched on the rocky wall with her hands, because there was a guard holding on to her waist.

"Grab my hand!" I yelled to her franticly as I reached for her. She was only inches away. She attempted to reach out, when she was forced to grab on to the wall again because the guard reached out to grab her arm.

"Let go of me!" She jerked around trying to lose the vampire on her back, trying to shake his hold. I looked around for help but everyone was still fighting. I felt a panic set into my chest as I dug my fingers into the snowy ground and lowered myself into the crevasse a few inches.

"Baby please grab my hand!" I yelled to her and just when she reached up, her fingers touching mine ,when there was a tumble of rocks and the parts of the wall collapsed and she lost her grip.

"No!" I said as she fell along with the rocks that were crumbling down. "No." I sobbed out. My frozen heart feeling like it was shattering in my chest, turning to dust. I continued sobbing as I pulled myself up out the crevasse and got up. I took a few steps away as I felt an all consuming despair wash over me before I stoped, sinking to my knees. She's gone..... the person that I've sacrificed everything to be with is gone. My love, my reason for even staying alive. I should have been closer. Stayed by her side. I should have kept our bond on so I could feel when she first got in trouble. Better yet I should have ran for the woods with her in my arms like I first wanted to. So many should haves flashed in my head, followed by numbness as I remember that it didn't matter now because she was gone.

"Ruby!" I heard Emmett call from the other side of the field, as he was still fighting someone. "Ruby! Get up!" He called out again. I turned away to see a vampire coming towards me. Maybe if I let him kill me, I'll see her again. When he was close he began to smile gleefully. Just before he was in grabbing distance of me, someone jumped on him  from behind me, tearing him to shreds. I blinked, wondering who it was for a second but didn't dwell on it for long as the person lifted their head and I recognized who it was. I got to my feet slowly as I stared at her. Her coat was burnt and her hair was singed, but it was her. She was alive. I stood there as she walked to me with a frown on her face.
