"Give me a break." I muttered under my breath and Seiya squeezed my hand. He acted like humans are aware that vampires exist. Maybe a long time ago more humans believed in that but now they're considered fictional. If Seiya had never revealed what she was to me I wouldn't have known.
"Alice." I saw Aro say with a smile. We all turned to see Alice coming from the trees with Jasper beside her. She walked towards the Volturi when a few gaurds met them, blocking them from coming any closer. "My dear sweet Alice we're re so glad to see you here after all."
"I have evidence that the child won't be a risk to our kind." Alice said. "Let me show you." She told him holding out her hand to him.
"Brother?" Caius said to Aro who held his hand out. The guard parted enough for her to get through, but they surrounded Jasper. Aro eagerly grabbed Alice's hand. It was silent for a while as he they stared at each other.
"It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see." Alice said snatching her hand from his. "You still won't change your decision." Alice said and turned to look over at Bella and mouthed something. I looked at Seiya to see if she caught that but she looked just as confused as me.
Suddenly Jacob took off running behind us with Renesmee on his back while we looked on bewildered. "Get them." I heard Caius said to one of the Gaurds. I turned back around in time to see Aro go Airborn, because Alice kicked him. I looked on as he soared, knowing this wouldn't be good. I glanced at Seiya to see her lift her chin high in defiance as if she had no fear. Aro flipped in the air before landing, digging his hands in the snow to skid to a halt. Alice may be small but she can definitely kick. Two Gaurds grabbed Alice as she tried to get away and we all took a step forward. Aro looked at us in disbelief and anger.
"Take her away." Aro commanded as the two Gaurds tugged a struggling Alice back.
"Let her go!" Carlisle yelled in anger as he began running towards them, knocking the two Guards away that ran towards him, before he jumped in the air. Aro then jumped up meeting Carlisle in midair where they clashed. They soon landed back on the ground, only Carlisle's body laid limp in the snow and I had cover my mouth in shock because his head was in Aro's hand. Seiya let out a cry as she covered her mouth and bent over like she was in pain as Esme was hung open with a horror struck look before she covered her mouth as well.
I grabbed her around her waist, and held her to me as I stared in disbelief. Carlisle wasn't really my father but he treated me like I was one of his. Like we were all his. Because to him we were. And they just killed him.
Caius held the torch and lit his body on fire. At that , everyone took off running towards them but I held onto Seiya, not letting us go yet. The wolves were growling behind us still in their positions. "Seiya! You have to focus!" I told her.
"I am!" She lashed out in my arms but I could tell she wasn't focused at all. She was driven by pure emotion.
"You're not! Baby I know it hurts but I'm not letting you go out there until you're not driven by pure emotion to fight. That's a sure way to die!" In fact I think that's how he just.... I shook my head trying to calm Seiya down as she growled. "Stop! I swear on everything Seiya if you don't calm down I'll throw you over my shoulder and I'll force you to watch from a tree! Don't make me do it!" I said gripping her by her shoulders. "Please! I need you to focus, like you told me to." I tell her and saw rational thinking come to her eyes again and she took a deep breath.
