Breaking Dawn (part three: Ruby pov)

"The cullens are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake." she said before looking to us with a remorseful look. "I'm sorry." She said in a tearful voice. I saw Caius look at Felix and two guards stepped closer, one with a fire torch.

"Caius, no!" Edward called out but it was to late. The two guards ripped out her arms, making her cry out and Felix swiftly ripped her head off. I gritted my teeth and grabbed for Seiya hand, hoping that she was enough to anchor me in place as I closed my eyes. She may have gotten us into this situation but she was still family and she apologized for her mistake. Now she was gone.

"Irina!" I heard Tanya cry out as I opened my eyes in time to see them rush forward, pushing people out of their way to get to their sister who was now burning as Caius lit her on fire, Either that or they wanted to kill him. I wasn't sure. I pulled Seiya out of the way as Kate broke through the line but was grabbed by Eleazar only to be shocked. Then Garret quickly wrapped his arms around her, crying out as she shocked him but he still held on. Emmett and Eleazar grabbed Tanya holding her as she struggled.

"Blind them." Edward called out to Zafrina and immediately the two stopped struggling.

"Give me my sight back!" Tanya hissed out.

"Tanya this is what they want. If you attack now we all die." Edward said to her, before looking to Zafrina. After a minute they both seemed to have calmed down, so they were both released. I sighed as a little tension left me and I loosened my grip on Seiya's hand.

"They're provoking us." She gritted out next to me and I didn't need our bond for me to know she didn't like what just happened because none of us did.

"Looks like they're getting away with it." I muttered, rubbing my thumb on her hand, hoping it'll calm me down along with her. From my new vantage point, I could see Edward watching Aro as he walked towards Bella, who had sat Renesmee on Jacob's back during the commotion.

Aro looked to Jane a second before Edward fell to his knees grunting in pain. Oh yeah they definitely want to fight. Bella clenched her jaw, closing her eyes briefly. Her shield came out and spread like a wall, until it covered everybody on our side and Edward stood up a second later, and walking over to her.

"It's working." He said as I saw Jane's eyes flick to random people on our side, trying to use her powers. A brief second it landed on me and Seiya before she looked to Bella, who was smirking at her smugly.

I guess she feels pretty useless now. I thought to myself. She took a threatening step forwards but Alec held out his arm, stopping her. The wolves growled behind us as Aro looked at Marcus and Caius.

Alec then held out his palms and I frowned as a black vapor started to seep out his hands. Aro held up his hands and the the vapors stopped before going back towards Alec and Disappeared.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here." Carlisle spoke, looking at him.

"Agreed, but does it then follow that there is no danger?" Aro said stepping out and looking around as he spoke as if he was a preacher talking to the audience."For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known is safe, only the known is tolerable; and we know nothing about what this child will become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow." He finished in a grave tone, while the vampire witnesses on their side shook their heads in protest. I rolled my eyes slightly.
