Nick & Neil - Special Chapter 9

"Wait a while longer. We will wait until Ai' Day is moved into a recovery room. Once they have a room prepared for him, we will get some rest and watch over him," Neil said. Nick nodded his head in agreement. By the next morning, Day was moved into a recovery room. Neil and Nick slept on the sofa in his room and watched over Day. They were woken up by Night and Gear and told to go back to their condo to get some rest. Neil and Nick walked out to their car.

"Neil, can you take me back to my house, really quick? I forgot to bring something with me. We can pick it up and take it back with us to your apartment," Nick said to Neil. Neil nods. It didn't take him long to arrive at Nick's house. Neil asks if he can wait in the car while Nick goes inside to get his things. Nick walked into the house. He was a little weary and feeling a little sick. The thin figure went to gather his things and put them in his bag.

"Where are you going, Nick?" Nick's mother asked when she saw Nick carrying a small bag out of his bedroom.

"Nick, who were you fighting with? Why do you look like this?" Nick's mother asked in shock.

"No one. It's nothing. I'm going to sleep at a friend's condo, I'm going to go now. My friend is waiting for me," Nick said before quickly walking out of the house. Nick's mother watched him with a concerned look on her face, but she didn't follow him because she knew all too well how stubborn her son was. Even if she forbade him to go, Nick would probably go anyway. While walking out of the house, Nick went outside the front door. Neil was parked outside the fence.

"Where are you going?" a voice asked, causing Nick to freeze. When he turned to look, he saw that his half-brother was following him from behind.

"Didn't you go to work today, P' Non?" Nick asked politely.

"No, I'm talking today off from work. And what happened to your face?" Non asked as he walked towards Nick and touched his cheek softly, causing Nick to turn away a bit.

"Nothing. I just got into a little fight with one of my friends," Nick said, dismissively.

"Where are you going?" Non asked in a stern voice.

"I'm sleeping over at my friend's place," Nick replied.

"You're not going to sleep at house today? Why do you have to go sleep at someone else's house?" Non said in a harsh tone. Nick furrowed his brows. He was surprised by his half-brother's behavior.

"What does it have to do with you, where I'm going to sleep tonight? It's too tiring to talk to you about this, right now. Non, my friend is waiting for me," Nick said as he tried to walk away, but he was stopped when a hand grabbed his slender wrist.

"I won't let you sleep somewhere else, Nick. How can you go sleep with someone else when you don't know whether that person is dangerous or not?" Non said.

"P' Non! You don't have any right to stop me. It's up to me where I go. I'll go anywhere I want," Nick said in a harsh tone.

"Why wouldn't I have any right to forbid you to go? I'm your older brother," Non said.

"That's right. You're just my brother. Non, you have no right to stop me," Nick said back as he tried to pull his wrist out of Non's grip, but Non held onto him tightly.

"Look at yourself. Are you hanging out with bad guys? You must be for you to be in this condition. Why do you like to make other people worry about you?" Non said again.

"I don't want anyone to worry about me. P' Non, let go of me, right now!" Nick shouted while pulling himself as hard as he could to get away, but Non tried to drag Nick back inside the house.

Nick's wrist is pulled free when someone else's strong hand quickly Non's hand off Nick's wrist. Nick immediately runs to hide behind Neil.
