WHERE IS JEFF!?

Evan started to look around Jeff's room. Turning over random items. And also flipping over his pillows. Alex paused as he watched all of you looking around Jeff's room. "You guys looking for anything in particular?" He questioned as Evan lifted his head. With a shrug of his shoulders he responded. "No, not really. I mean-"

"It's just seeing where he would have went.." Vinny spoke, cutting Evan off as he patted Alex's shoulder. Alex didn't seem too convinced but he didn't try and push the situation. You glanced at Alex before you went back to searching. Looking around the edge of the bed, checking behind it and so forth. Evan hummed. "Anything, any kinds of clues to-"

"And he left his fedora,so.."Vinny said as he pointed to the fedora. You laughed, smiling softly as Evan snickered. Shaking his head as he smiled. "You know something.." Vince spoke under his breath. Evan raised an eyebrow as his eyes darted over towards the end of the room. Vinny's eyes widened as he noticed a notebook. "Whoa, hold on a second, a notebook.." you turned around as you heard your brother speak. It was a composition notebook..a piece of purple tape covering its cover. And there was a loose piece of paper sticking out of the notebook. Vince slowly pulled out the loose sheet of paper which was actually a drawing. And the drawing was of two stick figures..one had multiple appendages and there was a red circle for a face. It didn't seem to look or be anything of interest.  Letting out a frustrated sigh he dropped the notebook and handed the drawing over to Evan. Evan hummed as he smirked. Holding the piece of paper in his hands. " I know what to do with this, don't worry." He said as he discarded the paper. Almost looking like he had just tossed it in the laundry basket. Vinny sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. You shook your head. Walking over to the laundry basket and picked up the crumpled up piece of paper that had the drawing on it. "Crap.."

Evan started to walk back over to the others but he paused, raising an eyebrow as something must have caught his eyes. Swinging the camera over. He pointed to a USB stick that was resting on top of a book. You raised an eyebrow at this...It definitely was weird and was out of place. "Wait a minute.."

"What's up?" Vinny asked, confused as to what Evan was doing. But you followed the male. As Evan looked at the USB stick. He picked up the..microphip thing. Showing it to the camera and to the others. Now this was definitely a start. "Is this like one of those microchip things that holds information and stuff?" He questioned as he handed the device over to Vince. Vince was always the tech guy, sometimes it felt like he knew more about technology than anything else in the world. Vinny laughed. Smiling as he looked at Evan.

"Oh, USB key?"

"And you put pictures and shit on it?" Evan asked. You laughed. Smiling softly at Evan's confused expression. Vinny seemed to also enjoy his confused face as he nodded his head. "Yeah.." Evan hummed. "Well.."

'This is usually attached to its key chain." Vince spoke as he flipped it around in his fingers slightly. You peaked your head over Vince's shoulders to look at the interesting item. "It was kinda left right here.." Evan said as he pointed over to the book, zooming in on it with his mini camera before deciding to pick it up.

'House of Leaves' That is what the book was called. Vince hummed. "Huh, House of Leaves."
Evan groaned. "Yep, House of Leaves that he never stops fucking talking about." He said, sighing as you smiled. You actually enjoyed listening to Jeff ramble about the book he enjoyed reading. It was nice to see him so passionate about something.

"Let's see what we got." Vince said as Evan opened up the book. You all skimmed through the pages. Vince clicked his tongue. "I mean, this seems kind of far-fetched but.." He glanced over at Evan and whispered that I wasn't able to hear. Evan looked over at him and nodded his head before flipping the pages. Until they landed on an open envelope and a piece of paper..it looked like it was serving as a bookmark. You let out an audible gasp as you noticed it looked very similar to what would be a business card. Vince raised an eyebrow. "What's that?" he asked as Evan picked up the card. Flipping it over as it reads.

"Business card that says, "I'm onto something.." Evan spoke before handing the business card over to Vinny. "Who's busi-It's our business card!?" Vince said his eyes widening in shock as you were all shocked. Evan grabbed the envelope. Taking in a deep breath of air. "Well..here we go, I mean this is what we were.."

"It's one of the envelopes, what's in there?" Vince asked as Evan opened up the envelope. You chewed on your nails, biting them nervously. Everything seemed..set up..and this was honestly freaking you out..a lot. "Nothing, empty.."

"Oh, Jesus christ.."

"Oh hell.."

"Fuckk.."

All of you had said different things but it meant the same thing. This was NOT good. No matter how you looked at it, something had happened and this affected Jeff pretty badly. Vince sighed, trying to calm his nerves down as he pushed his hair back. Before pointing at a circled passage. "Alright. Well, he circled something here,let's get that on camera real quick. " Vince said as he zoomed in onto the circled passage.

"Why did God create a dual universe, so he might say, 'Be not like me, I am alone' And it might be heard.."Vince spoke as you looked over the circled passage, reading it over and over again. It sounded weird..and almost biblical..

"Sounds like something out of the Bible.."Alex said as he crossed his arms. Vinny nodded but hummed. "Or House of Leaves." He said as Evan chuckled, closing the book as he shrugged his shoulders. He had a HABIT of doing that motion a lot. "Well, obviously he's trying to tell us something, but-"

"Yeah, why won't he just tell us where he went? Alright, well, at east we got-" The two were constantly just cutting the other off. Evan hummed holding up the USB stick. "Well, what about this?" He questioned looking at you and Vinny. You took it out of Evans hand. Humming as you looked over it. Vinny nodded his head. "Yeah. Wanna go check that out and see if we can find anything good?"

"Yeah, we might as well. Let's do this." He spoke as he looked over at you and Vinny.

A/N: ...Hey..soo..I'm back! Sorry I've been so..dead as of recently. We just started school back up and I've been in marching band a lot. So I haven't had much time to do many writing stuff! This has been a long in the making chapter. I had started working on it over the summer but slowly just stopped working on it! But I do hope you guys enjoyed this. My upload schedule is definitely going to be changing and shifting a lot. Considering I will be so much more busy. But when I can, I'll get a chapter out for you all!
