You, for some weird reason, were feeling very sluggish lately, everything was difficult to do, even simple tasks like getting out of your bed. It made your entire body ache in pain. Vinny had no idea what to do to help you feel better. Evan had come by a couple times just to check up on you to see if you were feeling better at all. But it was still the same thing everyday, You sneezed rubbing your nose as you tossed and turned in your bed. Groaning in annoyance as the sharp feelings of cramps hit your sides and lower stomach. Through the pain and suffering you were luckily able to do some research on the weird entity you had seen weeks prior to your pain and suffering.
It may or may not have taken you to go through old police files on cases from the late nineteen hundreds to at least find a smidge of information. There had been attacks on children after a child named 'Coraline Stells' had been attacked by something in a facility called K-9 In Michigan. Not much was given about the child's location or their health but it was noted that the child had suffered lots of trauma and damage to their thigh and mouth. Seemingly being put into a hospital a lot at their young age.
Around years later there were sights of an entity, fully encased or covered in this inky or tar substance. White pupils and a wide smile. It was sighted eating what seemed to be human flesh. From that description you had a pretty good basis that this entity that had gotten into your room was this one from the late nineteen hundreds.
That felt like the only good thing you were getting out of you being stuck in your room. You picked up a book and flipped to a random page, starting to skim over the words in the book before you stopped halfway. Hearing the soft knocking of who you could only assume was your brother on your bedroom door. Lifting your head you watched as the door opened slowly and you were met with Evans' gaze.
He was wearing one of his favourite T-shirts. A black shirt with a white skull on it. He was also wearing grey sweatpants that had a few rips in the front of them. His hair was messy and ruffled. Like he had gotten out of a tussle with someone. He looked at you with his soft eyes. A small smile plastered on his face. It made your heart skip a beat and your heartbeat felt stuck in your throat.
"Hey Y/n, just wanted to check up on you." He spoke as he walked into your room and closed it behind him. Your eyes were trained on Evan's figure as he walked over towards you. You coughed, trying to tear your eyes away from Evan as you cleared your throat. Your messy h/c hair getting in your face as Evan snickered. Watching you struggle to hide your face.
"Y/n?" He said your name as he sat down on the edge of your bed.
"H-Huh?" You stuttered slightly as you looked at him, his beautiful eyes trained on your own. "I wanted to see if you were feeling any better." He spoke softly as he reached his hand out to softly pick up your hand and cover it with his other. It felt like your heartbeat was growing quicker and quicker by the minute as you took a deep breath of air through your teeth. Eyes wide and cheeks flushed red.
Evan raised an eyebrow at you, awaiting for you to respond to him. You smiled sheepishly as you nodded your head. Rubbing the back of your neck nervously before you chuckled.
"No..I'm not feeling any better, so same old same old." You spoke letting out a sigh through your nose. And you were telling the truth with that. Nothing felt any better. You sniffled rubbing your nose with your wrist as you sighed. It felt like there were little pin needles lodged into your throat whenever you drank any sort of liquid. Even water hurt to drink.
Evan frowned as his eyebrows furrowed together. He pulled you slightly closer towards him as he wrapped his arms around you tightly, giving you a tight bear hug. You let out a wheeze as your eyes widened. Even though it felt like you were being squeezed to death you let your arms shakily wrap around Evan. Enjoying the very tight and harsh hug you were receiving.
"I'm sorry Y/n, you've been struggling a lot which isn't fun." Evan spoke as he placed one of his hands on your back. And rubbed your back slowly in soft circles. If anything this would have felt very comforting and enjoyable. But something sets off alarms in your head. This..didn't feel like Evan. The way he spoke sent shivers down your spine as you gulped nervously. Even though things didn't feel right you didn't wanna seem like you didn't enjoy his hugs so you sucked it up and pushed those worrying thoughts to the back of your mind. Those would be a thought for another day.
"Thank you Evan, you really are one of the best person I think I've ever met." You admitted as you leaned your head down against his shoulder. "Well besides my friend Jay from alabama." You spoke again, slightly chuckling. Evan snorted as he shook his head. A smile plastered on the dummy's face.
"Well, maybe I just gotta be a better friend so I'm the actual best person you've ever met. Even better than this Jay person." He said as he poked your nose. Pulling you slightly away from him so he could look at your face. You smiled softly at him. Your head tilting slightly to the side.
"Oh really now?" You spoke, raising an eyebrow at the challenge Evan set up for himself. You chuckled, smiling at him. "Then I hope you are ready to try and do just that Mr.Myers." You said as you leaned your head back slightly.
You were actually starting to feel a bit better now. Which was pretty relieving since you had been feeling like crap for who knew how long. Evan smiled down at you. And it made your heart flutter with joy. As you stared into his eyes with a growing feeling of love you didn't notice the snicker and more sinister grin Evan's smile turned into.
He's growing...
