Chapter 5: Revelations

Start from the beginning

"You are. Queen, and country."

"You can't just ignore it."

"I'm not I've put my best man on it."

"Good, um who's that." You smiled at the conversation between the two, and watched as an agitated John Watson got on a suit, and went down to visited Sherlocks brother: the British Government.

"Seriously, though is there anything I can do," you asked no longer tolerating not being allowed to help.

"Nope," Sherlock replied paying you no attention. You sighed and sat down across from him at the table that was covered with news paper articles, and parts of the shoes.

"So, you've figured me out." Sherlock stopped what he was doing and looked up.

"I do," he said quietly.

"Then tell me what you know."

"Your confident, but you weren't born with it you experienced something that made you not want to be afraid my guess would be abusive boyfriend, you don't want to be afraid of potential threats any more." He stopped and stared at you.

"And..."

"I can deduce you I can see everything about you, but-" he stopped short not taking his eyes off you.

"But what?"

"I can't deduce you." He spoke in a barely audible whisper. "I know everything I need to know, but I can't fit the puzzle pieces together. Everything is scrambled up the important stuff hiding where you wouldn't expect it." You sat there uncertain what to say. "You're special and I don't know why. Not the special your parents told you you were as a child to make you feel, well special, but different. Different than the best at keeping secrets. But why?"

"All it takes to fool you is to hide things where you aren't looking, huh." You said with a smug grin. Knowing this would throw him off even more. At this his eyes lit up.

"That's it!" He began frantically taking samples from the shoe laces and soles of the shoes. You tried to get something else out of him as he frantically ran tests, so you went back to your book. You couldn't focus on the book though you were still focused on what he said to you.

Finally when John returned did Sherlock speak.

"POISON!" His shout made you jump up startling you.

"What?"

"It was poison. You see-" Sherlock explained his brilliance with the enthusiasm as a kid in a candy shop. He was adorable when he was excited. Ugh (y/n) you can't think like this.

"And you, (y/n)," Sherlock said as he turned around. He walked over to you. "This is all thanks to you!" As he spoke he pulled you into a tight embrace surprising both you and John. After a second Sherlock realized what was going on, and immediately let you go. He ran over to his computer, and began to type something in.

"Well now what," asked John ignoring what just happened for the moment.

"We alert the bomber. Stop the clock" said Sherlock. A moment later his phone rang, it was the hostage. After alerting Lestrade, and giving him the location John, and Sherlock plopped into their chairs. You got up and grabbed your coat as it was late, and you needed to head back to Molly's since you haven't found a flat yet.

"Where are you going," John asked.

"To a friends place to crash for the night."

"Oh, ok well goodnight."

"Goodnight," Sherlock mumbled a bit awkwardly still embarrassed by what had happened earlier.

"Goodnight, "you said and walked out the door.
