I groaned out of my sleep, letting my arm drag over the empty space next to me. Empty? That didn't feel right.

Waking up alone felt foreign and unfamiliar. I opened my eyes, sighing when I saw that Theo wasn't next to me. I strained my ears, listening to the sound of rummaging in the kitchen and I smiled sleepily when my head dropped back down on the pillow. A few seconds later, I was hit with the comforting aroma of cooking.

Theo was making breakfast.

I blinked, attempting to push myself off the bed. It didn't work. The last few days had drained me, and I was still feeling the effects of it even though I was no longer on my period.

Letting out a breath, I rolled over to my back and stared at the high ceiling. I stayed like that for a little while until I heard light footsteps approach the bedroom. My head turned to the noise, seeing Theo's face pop around the doorframe. Only his face. I chuckled, seeing the disappointed expression at the realisation that I was awake.

He sighed, stepping in the room and my eyes trailed down his naked upper half. So fine. It shocked me each and every time. His hair was damp, and I could smell his body wash even with the small distance between us.

"I thought I was being quiet," he murmured, leaning over to give me a heartfelt kiss on my forehead. "Sorry, baby."

"That's okay," I croaked, rubbing my eye as I sat up. "You didn't wake me."

"Good," Theo whispered, smiling down at me. "I'm making breakfast. Come eat with me?"

"Give me a few minutes," I replied, dragging the warm duvet off me. "I'll be right there."

Theo nodded, giving me one more kiss on my cheek. His lips were soft, and I briefly closed my eyes at the contact. I'd never get enough of his kisses, or his affection. It was almost routine for him to give me a kiss on the cheek or forehead first thing in the morning. I loved it. A lot more than I should have.

I just knew that it was going to hurt going back to my own place and not having his presence with me all the time. I pursed my lips, pushing away the thoughts as I stood up. There was no need for that.

After using the bathroom to freshen up, I slipped on a pair of sweats and made my way to the kitchen. Music played softly in the background, and I grinned when I rounded the corner and saw Theo plating our breakfast. What did I do to deserve this man?

He handed me a steaming cup of coffee, looking happy to do so. I'd never understand how anyone could be that happy just consistently giving and giving.

I needed to show him my appreciation.

"Thank you," I whispered, letting my arm slide around his waist as I rested the side of my face against his chest.

He gave me a squeeze, kissing me on the top of my head and I let go of him to sit at the table. I stared down at the breakfast he had made, smiling when I saw the flapjacks and fruit on the side.

"You're so beautiful," Theo said, grinning at me with his chin on the palm of his hand. I gave him a look, knowing that I was one compliment away from sitting on his lap and taking our clothes off.

It had been a long week, and I was a little...deprived.

"You're so beautiful," I said, looking at him as I reached to my cup of coffee to have another sip.

Theo's smile widened when he picked up his fork, staring down at his plate. I grinned, seeing how shy he suddenly was. Theo loved compliments, and I knew that because his smile always brightened and he would always try to avoid my gaze.
