"A secret just between the two of us
Deeply poisoned by the prison of you
I cannot worship
anyone but you and I knew
The grail was poisoned but,
I drank it anyway"

"Will there be any end to this?" Lily whispered, shifting closer to Leila.

Leila breathed deeply, taking in the grave expressions of the dwindling nobles around her. People who had voted against her sister's stay in their kingdom, turned green by the announcement that she had been encaged with Jeongguk for the entire week.

Their warm absence was too noticeable, the world a mix of gray and blues without them. Yoongi stood with his head down, dressed in black. A single hand splayed on the table as he stayed silent, listening carefully to every word Taehyung drawled out.

"The trial will commence tomorrow morning. It will be fair, and it will be quick. I do not wish to hold them or draw this out any longer than necessary. They are the only possible connection we have found so far."

No one had fled with their capture. No one dared to move as their King inspected their each and every room. Only Hoseok seemed to show visible emotion, his expression showing fierce disapproval towards the royal. His eyes flashed to Leila, but she avoided the stare. Not being able to feign her lack of care, because she knew her sister was safer in the dungeon than among them.

Her eyes found black boots that rested upon the long, dark council table. Trailed all the way to the man who had still avoided her at every turn. After Taehyung's talk with him, she had assumed he would reach out to her. But Jimin had been as distant as ever.

Lily pressed closer her skirts brushing against her own, "You know your sister would never hurt you. Nor Jeongguk, not now. Do something Leila, you're the only one that could change his mind."

The royal's nerves were thinning. Constantly pretending to be suspicious of her sister, the lack of answers that their false imprisonment conceived. How she had spent every night till the late hours of the morning, searching for answers that did not want to be found. And where had Lily been?

"Do you want to take their place? Someone is responsible and I do not have the answers to keep them out of trouble," Leila replied shortly, watching as Lily shrunk beside her. Her pale brown eyes seemed to fade, "I am sorry Lily. I am just stressed. Have you been translating in your room, as I asked?" The young woman rubbed at her temples, hoping the strain behind her eyes would pass. She kept her words short, her voice low as to not alert the sensitive Immortui.

That would be just her a luck. A mysterious book that when translated, was useless to their problem.

Lily's eyes widened, her expression hopeful as a smile contrasted with the circles under her eyes, "Yes, I was going to tell you after the meeting. If I translated the script correctly, there is a lot you should know. I didn't realize just how helpful it was but I am certain-"
