james finds her on the shower floor blood oozing from her wrist. water hitting her skin. he shuts the water off and pulls her out of the shoulder
she was in and out of consousness
he finds some bandages and wraps up her wrists
he puts a shirt on her and lays her down on the bed. she was out
he didnt care
. . . .
she wakes up the next day in pain
she finds james next to her. she sits up and looks around. what if i left? ran away? she thinks
" what if he finds me?" she asks herself " he will kill us"
" he already is killing you ivy" the little voice in her head says " i say leave and run. dont look back ivy run "
she thinks and nods " im gonna go "
she quickly gets up pulling on some tight jeans with a sweater. she packs some clothes and she grabs some of her parents things. she grabs the note that they left her and puts it in her bag as well and then slips her shoes on. she grabs her ring and necklace james got her. they were diamonds and she was gonna sell them. she had to otherwise running would be useless
she grabs them and sneaks out. once she gets out of the house she runs
she makes her way to the pawn shop
" how much can i get for these?" she says setting the ring and necklace down
the guy picks the ring up " wow this is diamond"
she nods " how mych?"
he sits there looking at it " id say about alot. we dont have that much "
" how much can you give me now? " she says
he looks up at her. she had a few bruises on her face. didnt take long for him to realize that this woman was running from an abusive relationship "you can keep both just i need money please "
" i can give you at least 10k right now" he says
she nods " thats all i need right now."

she gets the money in her bag " be safe " he says to her
she looks at him and nods. she rushes out and she starts walking. she didnt know where but she was gonna get far away from here.
she gets into a taxi. into a few actually. they stop at a hotel after what felt like hours of driving. it was dark out. she pays the taxi driver muttering a thank you
she checks in the hotel. it was a sketchy one. she didnt care. it was better then james place. way better. she was only sleeping there for tonight. she lays down on the bed making sure nothing was in there. she locks the door. she lays down and falls asleep

she gets up the next morning and pulls on her leggings. another day of walking.
she stops at a diner eating
she starts walking again
. . .
a few people give her rides. she had to walk some. by night time arrives she heads into another diner.
she looked horrible
she orders a drink sitting down resting her eyes. she was tired
" miss?" she looks up and gives a small smile as her drink gets set down in front of her "anything else miss?" the waitress asks
ivy shakes her head " no thank you "
she smiles and walks away. ivy sips the drink
she didnt feel the greatest. all the walking and everything. it was horrible
she gets up and pays for the drink.
"are you ok miss?" a man asks her. she nods and gulps " im fine "
he looks at her unsure and nods and walks away. she walks outside closing her eyes leaning against the wall of the diner
she felt dizzy. she felt someones hand on her wrist. she didnt have the energy to push them away
"you ok?" a different voice asks. his voice was deep and it makes her open her eyes. he was handsome
he smiles at her as she stares at him " i-im fine " she says
" you look really pale.. " he says in a worried tone she slightly stumbles " i know.. its been a long week for me. im sorry"
he pulls her close to him. he smelt good " dont be sorry angel" he says
she looks up at him. its been awhile since she heard that nickname. she got more dizzy "n-name.. name is.. ivy" she whispers the last part
" colten... hey hey" he says noticing her eyes going back
her eyes go back and he catches her before she falls
he curses as he carries her to his car. he drives to the hospital.

they get her into the bed and the doctors run some tests on her as she sleeps on the bed. the nurses get her into a gown
colten sits next to her as she starts to wake up.
" where.. where a-am i?" she whispers
" the hospital" colten says " you passed out"
she looks around " they got you hooked up onto a iv. you were dehidrated and they wanna make sure its just that"
she sucks in a breath " its ok angel"
" please dont call me that" she says closing her eyes tightly. she didnt wanna cry not in front of anyone. her dad called her that all the time. he wasnt here. she didnt want anyone else calling her that
the doctor comes in the room" oh your awake now? we have the results now..."
she sits up and nods " well for starters you were mostly just dehydrated so nothing wrong there. and uhh second of all " he rubs the back of his neck " your pregnant"
she gasps and tears fill her eyes. she didnt want this " no!" she gasps
colten's eyes widen " are you sure?"
the doctor nods " we are very sure. you are pregnant miss"
