It has been a week since she joined the new project. New, environment, new colleagues, new work, new friends. Everything is new. She used to get scared to meet new people everytime. So she was scared of her team members. She thought, if she would be able to fit un the team, or if they will judge her every action like her parents do , or if she will be able to learn the new things, or if she would be able to converse with them, or if she will match their expectations, or if she made a mistake what will happen. She was thinking this since last 2/3 days. She was nervous like hell.
She was in cafeteria for lunch. Not that it is lunch time but since She was nervous so she came to eat. Only food can calm her. She was eating when she saw her team members all together were coming in cafeteria.

She thanked God when she saw them leaving the cafeteria. Later she moved to the cabin where the team sits. The cabin is so lively. Whenever she enters there she gets a positive vibe.
Few more weeks passed. She was learning from the other team members. Her fear of people was reducing. Everyone from her team treat her like a queen. I mean everyone respected her views, they considered her point in their discussion. They have given her priority. For Prince and Omi she is a little sister who is brilliant in her work. For Nikhil, she is partner in crime. Yeah, she was opening with them like the way she never opened in front of any other person not even her parents, relatives. For Veer, she was a very good and trustworthy friend. For her also, Veer is very trustworthy, understanding person. Veer and Ragini are the best team in terms of any activity, any project, in any thing. They became best friends. They shared everything with each other. But still Ragini did not disclose her past life much more. Like her relation with her parents and her getting betrayed etc. They used to bitch about Omi and Prince (in a naughty sense) , they help each other to grow professionally. Most precisely tgey started liking each other. Veer accepted his feeling but Ragini is in denial mode. As she always thinks to stay away from this kind of feelings.
They all bonded as a family. Often they used to plan lunch or dinner. Prince and Omi include their wives and children. If they go too far, Veer used to drop her at home.
She was so happy that, she started feeling secure. She started forgetting her sadness. She used to be at office more than office hours. She considered them as family. She felt home at office.
Everytime she does over shifts Nikhil used to ask why she always agree to this. And she always said she loved to do it.
After one year one day at office,
9:00 PM
Veer, Nikhil, Ragini were working in office. Prince and Omi hurriedly left from office almost arround 5 Pm after getting a call from Yuvi.
10:00 PM
N : Ragini, why do you always agree to do night shifts and over time? Teri wajah se Prince bro ko humse bhi ummeed hota hai 😐
R : toh maat kar na. Jab bhi Prince bro bole mujhe bol dena. Main kar dungi.
V : haan Nikhil isse toh tu bas inha bandh dega nah toh bhi usko shikayat nahi hogi.
R : haha kuch bhi Veer. Aisa nhi hai. Bandh doge toh khana kaise khaungi? 😌
V : haan Nikhil bas khana de dena aur is cabin mein bandh kar dena.
R : han phir thik hai
N : hahaha 🤣 kya kuch bhi. Don't you want to go home like others after office? Mera toh inha pair hi nahi tikta.
R in serious tone : Nikhil, this is my home. Yeh char deewar wala cabin, tumlog, yeh computers, balki inha ki har ek cheez mujhe sukoon deti hai. Aur after office I go to my house not home.
Saying this she went away from there.
N : hein!? Yeh kya bol ke gayi? Home aur house mein difference kya hai? 🤔 Kuch samajh nahi ata iska kabhi kabhi. Veer bhai aapko samjha?
Veer nodded in no. But he was lost in his thoughts thinking about what she told just now.
N : waise bhai, aaj usse office nahi ana chahiye tha.
V : kyun?
N : kyun kya? Khuch hi ghanto mein ladki ka birthday hai aur abhi yeh night shift karegi? Pagal hai kya? Ghar pe raheti, family ke sath enjoy karti. Wo acha hota na? Ek kam karte hai, uske birthday celebration ke baad usko ghar chor ke aate hai. Shift main dekh lunga. Kya bolte ho?
V : tu ek saal mein abhi tak usse pahechana nahi? Wo jayegi hi nahi ghar. Likh ke le le. Pura shift karegi, office cab legi phir jayegi.
N : itna confidence? Aye haye kya baat hai ?? Hmm hmm 😎😎
V : abbey oo Nikhil ke bacche!! Chup bey..
Ragini came back after sometime.
11:00 PM
R : mujhe bada bol raha hai. Raat ke 11 baaj rahe hai. Tu abhi tak inha kya kar raha hai?
R in mind : kya inhe meri birthday yaad hogi? Kya cake leke aye honge? Kaise layenge? Inhe thodi pata hai ki mujhe birthday pe cake katna kitna pasand hai. Last cake kata tha when I was 5 years old. Tab se leke aaj tak cake katne ke liye taras gayi hu. Par.. huh. Khair.. jab so called mere gharwalo ko yeh fizhool ka kharcha lagta hai toh main inse kya hi expect karu. Koi bat nahi yeh log abhi bhi hai toh dinner kar lungi inke sath after 12 AM. Toh birthday, khana aur mere pyare team mates cum family. Nice nice.
She was feeling happy thinking this.
N : Are Ragini. kahan kho gayi??
R : kahin nahi tu bata abhi tak kyun nahi gaya tu? Aur abhi bhi inha hai toh, chal na ek saath dinner karte hai, tu, main aur Veer. Akele khane ka mann nahi kar raha aaj.
N : wo aaj na humara peene ka plan hai toh... 👉👈 Toh..
Ragini got sad. Veer was just looking at her.
V in mind : isko IT company mein nahi, acting ke line mein hona chahiye tha. Kitni jaldi expression change hota hai iska. But isko surprise dene ke chakkar mein kitna dukhi kar rahe hum isko.
R : ohh acha.. kab nikalne wale ho aaplog.
V : abhi 5 min mein.
R : aur dinner ?
N : han Yuvi bhabi aur Aarti bhabi (Omi's wife) banayegi na.
Listening to this Ragini got more sad. And seeing this Veer just glared Nikhil.
(Actually they all wanted to surprise Ragini on her birthday. Though Ragini never discussed her sadness with them still they were able to figure it out by her behaviour. Especially Veer, Nikhil, Omi and Yuvi. So they wanted to make her happy in every possible way.
R : oh toh isiliye Prince bhai aur Omi itni harbari mein nikle. Home ministers ka order aya hoga 🤣🤣
She said trying to be cool and covering her sadness.
N : aap bhi chalo na.. Omi bhai ka ghar paas mein hi hai. Dinner ke baad Veer chor dega apko inha. Phir karna kam jitna mann chahe. 😅
R : Nikhil main yehi thik hu. Pleae don't force na. Aur main waha bin bulayi mahemaan banke nahi jana chahti.
V : Ragini aisa nahi hai. Please don't be mad at us. Tera night shift tha toh bola nahi. Aur achanak plan ho gaya. So .
R : Veer why are you even explaining to me?! I am not sad, I am not angry, I am not upset, I am not mad at anyone.
N : pakka na?
Ragini just chuckled. Veer again glared at Nikhil.
N : kya?
V : kuch nahi tu chal. Bye Ragini, hum nikalte hai. Late ho raha.
R : sure. Have fun.
Veer and Nikhil left.
