Can't breathe, can't breathe
My lungs feel like they'll seethe
Air is scarce, my chest is tight
All I want is some respite
Gasping, wheezing, struggling for air
Panic sets in, it's just not fair
Inhale, exhale, but it's not enough
I'm drowning as I try to huff
Racing heart, beads of sweat
I cannot seem to forget
The feeling of suffocation
It's a never-ending frustration
Can't breathe, can't breathe
It's a pain that won't recede
A struggle that won't abate
As my pupils do dilate.
