Oh Lewis how could you make her eat mushrooms

Made her go on yet another trip, this time her neck

Stretching so much she turned into a snake, what a wreck?

And the Pigeon, could only see the serpent after eggs

Never mind about who Alice was or is? She buckled and bent

So many times in that one day…. poor Alice what was she to do?

Well her only answer was to eat the right side of that mushroom

Well she shrunk down to nine inches now, and found the frog footman

No It was a fish all dressed in the uniform of the day, produced a royal letter

To the doorman who happened to be a frog, so you see there is a frog in this story

“For the Duchess from the Queen,” Something about crocket, no croquet and playing

The Frog- Foot-man really Lewis did he have to say it again just a different way?

Lewis played with words; twisted and turned them wiggled and wormed them

Then made these characters get tangled up, with curls in their wigs, fish and frog

Frog and the fish, and now they argued over a knock, which being polite Alice gave

Now as it turns out the frog was out and not in and inside was all NOISE, so say

The frog at the door now outside and not in saying, maybe some sense in knocking after all

See what I mean the twisting and turning of words to make us all grin

This journey into wonderland with adult eyes

Has made me see with much surprise

A different point of view of why Lewis

Wrote the jokes in this book with those nonsense rhythms

Poems all seem so innocent and make us laugh

But really hidden there is something which I would never dare, MUSHROOMS?

So you see the next little segment in this wonderland story

Really does my head right in as Alice just walks right in

To the noise of a baby sneezing and crying and getting called a PIG.

By a Duchess who happens to be sneezing too maybe “Swine flu?”

And there who did Alice find there inside the famous …”Grinning Cat”

Poor Alice is just trying to be polite, now gets ever so frightened...by the cook?

Here is displayed child abuse in so many ways

Am I being to contempory?  This story was written

In another century nearly two in fact

Oh how things have changed over time

Those ideas are just part of their ways

A child to be beaten just because the poor boy sneezes?

We just have to say it really is all nonsense

Otherwise we would cry out loud and ban it

For not being politically correct

And it has directions that would

Make the uneducated take a giant leap

Into drugs and mushrooms, most likely if you took it seriously.

So I declare that nonsense is what rules here

And a woman can change her mind at anytime

But at this moment in time I say Lewis Carroll

Was just having a play to make a bored child laugh

And really wasn’t about drugs and stuff

Children only have a short time to be just innocent

But i recognize the travel though

wonderland now with Adult eyes

really is a surprise.

I must try and find out

how adult Alice really did

turn out, more reading here for me to do.:~)))
