10. Cat and Mouse

The next thing made my eyes go wide as my feet dragged themselves towards the scene……….

Ruh~

I looked at him and answered bravely and the idiot just smiled like it was a joke.

Suddenly…

In a fraction of a second,his expressions changed to a hurried look and the next thing, I could feel myself being pulled into a hard chest.
At the exact time, I felt someone fall behind me.

Everything happened too quickly for me to process and then I saw aksh running towards us.

I looked up to see the prince looking down at me with a worried look while he still held me in a bone-crushing grip.

As soon as I realised the situation, I pushed him with all the strength I had and landed straight into aksh who now stood behind me.

Aksh too looked at me worriedly but I didn't get any of it. What just happened?

And then I turned around to find ziya on the ground, her hair spread all across her face and her eyes held a horrifying look.

And it didn't take me an eternity to recollect and conclude the situation.

Aksh ~~

I ran towards them as i saw ziya about to collide with ruh out of rage. It could've been a slap, a hit , or anything.

My steps slowed as I saw the impossible, yet inevitable happen in front of me.

Agastya pulled ruh towards himself in a sudden hug and ziya fell straight to the ground with all the force she was just about to use on ruh.

The lively garden fell dead silent as everyone looked at the scene with their eyes wide open.

I went towards ruh while she pushed Agastya violently and was about to land on the ground when I came behind her.

"Are you okay ?" …I asked as she looked puzzled.
She nodded her head unsurely and looked around to see ziya glaring at her with overflowing rage.

" It's okay. Nothing happened. Just go about your work. " …I said as I sensed everyone gawking at the scene.

This could be absolute chaos or go about silently. It depends on how well I'm able to handle the situation.

" Ladies, nothing happened. Go about your day." ….i said, a bit sternly this time as they finally retreated towards their previous positions hesitantly.

I looked at ruh one last time, signalling her with my eyes to remain calm as I proceeded to take Agastya out.
I didn't want to leave ruh alone here. Nonetheless, I have to keep in mind why I'm here in the first place.

" This way, your majesty. The court proceedings call for you." ..i said as i wanted to have him out of the place.

" Ruh. " .. Agastya called out, ignoring me.

Ruh continued to look at ziya.

"Ruh." ….he said loudly.

She jerked and looked at us cluelessly.

" Go to your room. This is an order. " ….she looked at him bitterly and then looked around the garden trying to search for something.

" I'll get jihan. Go to your room. " …..I said.

She looked at me one last time before silently retreating to her room.
And then….

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS AGASTYA? ..?DID YOU EVEN LOOK AT THE WAY SHE WAS TALKING TO YOU? SUCH A DAMN BRAT. I WOULD'VE TEACHED HER A LESSO-"... she stopped abruptly, catching Agastya glaring at her.
